Overview
The PRS Paul Reed Smith 2019 S2 Standard 24 Electric Guitar is a modern approach to a timeless classic. The original PRS Standard, introduced in 1987 evolved from Paul Smith’s pre-factory all-mahogany guitars. The S2 Standard 24 Satin takes that classic platform and reimagines it for the modern player. While the sleek satin Walnut finish and pickguard-mounted electronics will have you looking good, the 85/15 "S" pickups will have you covered sonically. On stage or in the studio, the resonance of the all-mahogany satin body will shine through your amp or pedalboard. Comes in a premium PRS gig bag.

I have owned hundreds of guitars starting back in mid 80's. I own the above model in what appears to be a rare color of Metallic Red. Best guitar I've ever played in this price range (under $1000) The Neck is to die for, very closes to Gibby's 60's Slim Tapered neck. Pups sound Great (mostly use in humbucker mode) Rich full sounding both Bridge & neck Pup. The finish is GLOSS Metal Flake Metallic Red.Weight about 7 Lbs. No LP Back ache from this one.I am extremely happy with it's sound right out of the box (after Tuning) Setup was fantastic low action no fret buzz all the way up the the 24th fret. Priced Under $1000 with free shipping Plus tax.Pup's sound like Gibby's '57 pups maybe just a little hotter. Rock, Blues, Country, Punk, Indy this thing will sound however you want with a little tweeking of the single volume And Tone knobs will get you where you want to go sound wise. I am extremely impressed by an AMERICAN MADE instrument under a grand. I think my color is a bit rare, don't see this color @ the big box stores or on line stores. So comfortable to play sitting or standing. I'm more of a collector than player, I just practice a lot. Mostly leads. I however am very anal about mistakes I make when playing with a group. I stick with rhythm but at home I'm trying to learn licks like Page, Beck, Clapton, SRV, Green Day, Stones (and Old Town Road). I like punk 'cause if I make a mistake I've got the distortion cranked up to kinda hide my lack of accuracy. I've Got High End…

Carvin's, Gibson's, PRS SC 250, Gold Top with T-500 in bridge & R-496 in neck. Not a Fender bolt on toy guitar guy. This one you can stand all day playing & your back won't give out. But It's got THE Sound. Immaculate finish, Set up. But I'm getting a better Case even though the PRS gig bags are pretty good, This one's gotta have a hard case. Summary= All things are not equal this one kicks my Gold Top's ass. And the price is well Under $3000 that you would pay for a Gibby. I own 13 electrics, I've sold hundreds, I'm down to the VERY BEST Collection on the planet. But that's just my opinion. More $ than talent but sure is fun. You can ALWAYS learn something new. Us old people gotta keep doing stuff we like or we lose it. This one's going to the grave with me.
