Neumann KH 805 II DSP-Controlled Studio Subwoofer

zZounds Gear Experts Say...
An ideal match for Neumann KH 120, KH 150, or KH 310 monitors, with both analog XLR and BNC digital I/O, this sub extends your system's lows down to 16 Hz.

Next Generation Subwoofer
The KH 805 II improves on its predecessor in acoustic performance and adds features. Thanks to a novel long-throw 10" woofer with Extremely Linear Force Factor (ELFF) technology and intelligent protection limiters, the KH 805 II ensures exceptionally low distortion even at maximum SPLs.

Features:

- Bass extension of the monitoring system down to 16 Hz
- Increasing the maximum SPL of the entire system
- Decreasing harmonic and intermodulation distortion of loudspeakers
- MA 1 Ready for perfect alignment of the entire system and seamless subwoofer integration. For multichannel setups, Neumann offers MA 1 Multichannel Extension option.
- MA 1 integration of analog KH Line speakers, enough DSP power for an entire stereo system.

The KH 805 II extends low frequency reproduction down to 16 Hz and delivers about twice the output of the KH 750 DSP. This makes the KH 805 II the perfect complement to mid-sized speakers such as the KH 150 and KH 310.

The KH 805 II is DSP-controlled for superior sonic performance and seamless integration via MA 1 Automatic Monitor Alignment (sold separately). When combined with analog Neumann studio monitors such as the KH 120 A (discontinued), KH 310, or KH 420, it offers sufficient DSP-power for aligning the entire stereo system using MA 1, optimizing not only the frequency response but also the phase. The KH 805 II is therefore a massive upgrade for existing systems. Of course, the KH 805 II is also a perfect complement read more to Neumann's DSP-equipped studio monitors.

Precision in Every Detail
As subwoofers are typically placed on the floor, a robust grille protects the driver from accidental damage. The rigid cabinet features a highly efficient bass reflex system, which is carefully engineered and tuned for the tightest bass reproduction - with inaudible port noise.

The two analog XLR inputs are electronically balanced, as are the two analog XLR outputs. The up to 192 kHz / 24-bit digital input (BNC) accepts both AES3 and S/P-DIF signals. The subwoofer has an Auto Standby function, which can be deactivated via a backplate switch.
The KH 805 II excels in music, broadcast, and post-production studios for tracking, mixing, and mastering.

Compact ultra stiff wooden cabinet
- Tough painted finish and build-in rubber feet for acoustic isolation
- Excellent self-damping properties leading to minimal cabinet resonances
- No standing wave resonances inside cabinet
