The Neat King Bee large-diaphragm cardioid condenser earns its stripes with super-low self-noise of only 6 dB-A and a response that's flattering on vocals.

Just like a bee hive, the King Bee is all about reproduction. Its large-diaphragm condenser design is ideal for applications requiring low noise and high sensitivity -- the King Bee excels for vocals, drums, electric guitar, piano, and most acoustic instruments, including complex sources like saxophones, flutes, and strings. Thanks to custom Class A discrete electronics, careful mechanical design, and a precision, gold-sputtered microphone capsule, what you hear at the output is what the King Bee hears at its input.

The King Bee package includes the Honeycomb pop filter and Beekeeper custom shockmount, and is also compatible with the optional Beeline quad conductor XLR mic cable. With outstanding versatility and sound quality, the King Bee will quickly become one of the most useful -- and commanding -- mics in your hive.

Honestly, I'm blown away by how delicious this microphone sounds. I remember this mic being around $300 when it first debuted and I was intrigued once I found out some guys from Blue Microphones got together and made this thing. I hadn't heard much about it and it does look funny. It's a great sounding mic. I've been using the Blue Bluebird for about 7 years both while in audio school as well as in my personal home studio. This mic sounds so much better. Amazing, rich, velvety sound.Well built piece of gear. And it comes in beautiful packaging as well.Get it before it's gone.
