On-Stage MS9210 Heavy-Duty Low Profile Microphone Stand (with 10" Base)

zZounds Gear Experts Say...
With a 10" round base, this space-saving mic stand is ideal for rows of backup singers. Its strong mid-post clutch makes for safe, smooth height adjustments.
Overview
With a 10", 6-pound low profile base, the On-Stage MS9210 is an excellent choice for any handheld microphone. It is well suited as a lead vocal/soloist stand, and its smaller 10" base makes it perfect for backing vocals, a cappella, and other closely grouped applications. Its steel shafts measure 7/8" and 5/8" in diameter like most common portable stands, but its heavy-duty mid-point clutch is extraordinarily robust. The clutch is designed to act as a brake on the upper shaft, even when loosened, preventing the shaft from crashing down while adjusting height.
To aid with precise mic positioning, the upper shaft features an oversized knurled locking washer that keeps any attached mic clip exactly where desired. Connection of the lower shaft to the base is via a solid steal machined lug with M20 threading and locking washer. This course threading provides an excellent combination of fast assembly and secure connection, while extending thread wear far beyond fine-thread designs. Finally, superior stability is achieved thanks to a sleek, embossed base with shock-absorbing rubber pads.
- 5/8" and 7/8" Steel Tubing
- 1-3/8" Locking Washer at Base
- Diecast Zinc Clutch with 3" Grip
- All Metal External Parts

Took a week to ship cross country to me but I was impressed when I opened the box the bar is monster solid like a weight lifting barbell and the base is immaculate low profile and stable only I wish the bar was chrome not black. All steel design. No wobble. The onstage mic clip fits perfectly at the top. Really impressed at this. I can see how the 12 inch would be a bit more massive Im convinced of you play guitar and sing you want the 1-0 inch base so you can get closer without having to step on the base.
Takes 30 seconds to assemble this thing. No instructions needed. The clutch to raise and lower the inside tube is very very good all metal and smooth as silk.
The inside bar raises and lowers very smoothly.
This stand is excellent and a no brainer. If you play guitar you NEED this even if its just to practice how to rock n roll.
