Maestro Ranger Overdrive Pedal

zZounds Gear Experts Say...
Amp-like overdrive on your board! The Maestro Ranger overdrive pedal offers an exceptionally clear picture of your guitar tone with a crisp, overdriven edge.
Overview
Inspired by the overdriven tones of some of the world's most cherished vintage tube amps, the Maestro Ranger Overdrive is a modern, all-analog overdrive pedal that features a Mode toggle switch that provides two different tonalities; a warm, expressive, amp-like overdrive and a second tonality that is slightly cleaner and exceptionally touch-sensitive. It blends in some of the clean signal and is a great choice for use as an "always-on" effect that can be controlled with your pick attack and your guitar's volume control.

The Ranger's classic 3-knob control layout provides intuitive adjustment of Gain (amount of overdrive), Tone, and output Level, with plenty of volume on tap to go well beyond unity gain, so you can easily use the Ranger Overdrive as a boost to hit the input of your tube amp harder for even more grit and dirt. The true bypass footswitch triggers the LED lights in the bugles in the Maestro logo when it's on, so you'll always know when the effect is active.

Things To Know
Maestro Ranger Overdrive Pedal

Hey everybody, this is Justin with zZounds, and this is a "Things to Know" video on the Maestro Ranger Overdrive. This pedal is really awesome because it’s as simple as it gets, with just gain, level, and tone controls, and then a little switch right here for high and low modes.
Now, the high and low modes are probably the most important part about this pedal. If you flip it into the low mode, it actually blends some of the clean tone into the overdrive, so you can use it as a transparent boost with low gain settings or even as an always-on pedal, adjusting the gain with your guitar’s volume knob. That’s really cool.
Then, flip it into the high setting and you get that classic, full overdrive, tube-saturated tone. It’s really dynamic, and I love how the pick attack and dynamics can make this pedal come alive.
So if you're looking for a transparent, versatile overdrive that won’t get too extreme, please check out the Maestro Ranger Overdrive.
