Even though this amp is Made In China with Inspection and Setup done the UK this amp blows the competition in this price range. This is my third Laney tube combo irregardless if Chinese or British made and my fourth Laney Amp counting the little Mini SuperGroup battery powered combo with delay. Outside of various British made incarnations of Marshall tube and hybrid combos Laney is the second most successful amp maker I've had good luck with. Fender suck when it comes to lead tone and are mainly non metallic clean tone music. I play Dirty Blues Rock and early Doom Metal Ala Tony Iommi and Victor Griffin from his American counterparts Pentagram from the 70's and some late 70's early 80's speed metal like Motorhead Venom Saxon Judas Priest Thin Lizzy and Iron Maiden with Dianno on vocals and this amp does the job and then some. In the near future I would like to buy one of the $1100 price range British made Laney tube combo but for now this Chinese made Laney amp will. Puts the Mexican made Fender Bassbreaker 007 Marshall clone to shame. If lost stolen or needs work I will be either buying a backup of these amps again or upgrade to the British Made 5 watt Lionheart combo of these Laney amps or buy an olderLaney AOR 30 watt combo used

Sound
Like I'd told you earlier its got that classic and modern Laney Hi Gain Tone on a budget.

Features
The boost button helps it push into modern hi gain metal tone for classic rock tones read more turn down or turn off the boost button and for British Plexi Clean tone turn the Gain knob down and crank the Master Volume knob. For all you Snobs who complaint about clean tone get a Fender or Quilter Fender Clone. As for that crazy woman Lori Basilla who plays a Telecaster through these amps I'm not found of her music her tone or her playing. As for what kinda of electric guitar I play I play these amps through an older Samick SG Custom guitar 3 pickup version in black. I've also play some of the newer Epiphone SG's Like the 550 reissue the more expense Les Paul SG Standard version of a reissue a Black two pickup Epiphone SG Custom and I have also played a couple of the mid priced SG Classics in both colors. Down the road if my money is right I might go ahead and get an Epiphone Version of a right handed Iommi Monkey new.

Ease of Use
Real Easy just plug and play.

Quality
I've all kinds of various Import Fender Champs and Champ Clones two British made Marshall Class 5 combos and one Class 5 Halfstack, British made Marshall Valve State combos of all kinds of wattages, American made Peaveys hybrid tube combos from the 70's and 80's American made and import Crate amps and a couple of Hughes and Kettner tube combos, an American made Supro Super combo that sounded good and more recently I owned a used older Chinese import Orange Tiny Terror that sounded like crap. For now on if I don't buy another American made Supro Super combo I'll be buying British and Chinese made Laneys

Value
Beats a Fender Bassbreaker 007 within the $450 to $550 price range

Manufacturer Support
Friendly and Reliable and easy to get hold of.

The Wow Factor
Easy to use and very reliable for an import amp
