zZounds Gear Experts Say...
Great for metal and other hard-rock genres, this single-cutaway guitar offers easy playability across a 25.5-inch scale neck.

The Kramer Assault 220 Electric Guitar is one screaming axe. High-octane shred axes traditionally tend toward the offset-double-cutaway body designs, or updates on the classic V and Explorer shapes, but plenty of players would love to put the timeless singlecut rock weapon through the high-speed, high-gain paces. Enter Kramer's Assault 220, designed with the classic maple-mahogany tonewood combination and single-cutaway styling made famous by Gibson's Les Paul way back in 1952, but updated with a sharper body horn, glued-in mahogany neck, and shred-certified 25-1/2 inch scale length. They are thinner and lighter than most single cutaways.

These models are loaded with firepower with a pair of high-output Alnico V humbucking pickups, and finished off with contemporary high-performance hardware. For speed, lead, crunch and chunk - as well as all your sweeter, mellower moments - the impressively versatile Assault 220 is the only weapons that plenty of rockers will need.
