zZounds Gear Experts Say...
Give your precious mics the support they need on the compact, professional K&M 210/9B heavy-duty tripod boom stand. This stand adjusts from 35 to 63 inches.
Overview
A more compact version of the classic 210/2. The combination of the long-legged 201A/2 mic stand and the 211/1 telescopic boom arm. Like the 210/2, the 210/9 sets the standard for professional microphone boom stands.

Top notch. You can't go wrong with this stand.
Features
This stand is a a great choice if you are looking for a durable and functional stand for all around use. The stand is heavier than the lower price alternatives which results is a stable platform for your mics. I don't suggest using it for heavy LDC or ribbon mics, but you can feel confident that you can position you mic just about in any configuraion with out the stand falling over. The 2 section boom is great for positioning the stand close to the sound source without the boom sticking out into traffic.
Ease of Use
The K&M knows are confortable and well positioned. The stand and boom extend easily. The legs slide up easily for storage.
Quality
This is a top quality stand that will provide service for many, many years.
Value
You pay a little more for this stand, but it is worth it.
The Wow Factor
I have learned my lesson with lower quality stands. This mic stand meets all my expectations. I just wish I had the cash to repalce all my other stands.
