Take your playing to unprecedented heights with the Jackson Pro Soloist SL3Q HSS, an assertive state-of-the-art axe designed for comfort, technically-demanding performance and versatile sound.

The Jackson Pro Soloist SL3Q HSS premium features include a resonant mahogany body with a gorgeous quilt maple top and one-piece through-body maple neck with scarf joint and graphite reinforcement rods to provide stiffness and stability, guarding against temperature- and humidity-induced bending and warping. Hosting 24 jumbo frets and alumiloid piranha tooth inlays, its 12"-16" compound radius ebony fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets is designed for highly technical lightspeed playing -- more curved by the nut for comfortable chording, it flattens out as you move up the neck (with hand-rubbed oil back finish) for increasingly fast playing speed and wide bends without fretting out.

A direct mount Seymour Duncan TB-6 Distortion bridge pickup provides a powerful low end for balanced rock or metal, while a Seymour Duncan Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 RWRP Single-Coil middle pickup and Seymour Duncan Custom Flat Strat SSL Single-Coil neck pickup broaden this axe's versatility with a glassy, powerful bite. This versatile triple threat is the perfect mix of crunchy sustain and beautiful clean tones.

Single volume and tone controls shape the pickups' output, which can be further refined with the five-way blade for the precise voice required to bring your musical vision to life. Dive and soar expressively read more with the Floyd Rose 1000 Series double-locking tremolo system, recessed for pick hand comfort and providing laser-accurate intonation and ultra-stable tuning.

"Comparable to MIJ Pro Series"

2020 purchase. This is my third Jackson Soloist and the quality is finally on par with my MIJ pro series guitars.Fit and finish is very good overall. I did have to adjust the setup on the guitar as I play 1/2 step down from standard tuning. Action is great at 1/8 inch with no buzzing. Neck is very stable in changing weather conditions (Central Texas). All electronics work as they should with no scratchiness to the pots. Frets were well dressed and polished from the factory. Oiled neck is comfortable. Be aware that the Duncan distortion in the bridge has a pronounced mid-range. It is nothing like the JB or Blackouts found on other models. This can serve you well depending on amp and genre/sub-genre you might be playing in.

Sound
The stock Duncan Distortion has a pronounced midrange to my ears. The Duncan Custom Flat Strat pickups definitely add chime in positions 4 & 5. I replaced the Duncan Distortion with a Seymour Duncan Jason Becker Perpetual Burn which has a more scooped sound with a slightly hotter than PAF wind.

Features
I’m a Floyd player so that has to be the most useful feature in the guitar for me.

Ease of Use
Playability with low action is really good with this guitar. I didn’t have to make any adjustments except to action and intonation because I play tuned 1/2 step down.

Quality
Quality and figment were comparable to my MIJ read more pro series Jackson.

Value
The value in this instrument was what I would expect from a new build in the pro series.

Manufacturer Support
No need to use it.

The Wow Factor
I don’t get wowed easily. A guitar is a tool to get me from point a to point b. It has to be playable out of the box. Everything else is personal customization. From switches, to pots, to pickups. I play for a living so that’s how I view a guitar. It helps me accomplish the task at hand.

Musical Background:
I’m a professional musician playing for 40 years. I play guitar, bass and keys.

Musical Style:
I play jazz, rock, hard rock, metal, country, pop, blues, folk
