Jackson American Series Soloist SL3 Electric Guitar (with Case)

Born in the USA! Built with neck-through-body construction. Jackson's American Series Soloist SL3 is loaded with top-notch pickups for face-melting tone.

What's special about this item?

Feature: What it does:
Alder body Light weight with a wide tonal range
Maple neck Bright tone, full sustain and strength
Neck-through-body construction Longer sustain; strong midrange; smooth feel
Seymour Duncan JB TB4 humbucking pickup High output, singing highs and powerful low end

The Jackson American SL3's alder body is matched with a sustain-enhancing through-body three-piece maple neck that has a pair of graphite-reinforcement rods for the ultimate stability to resist temperature and humidity-induced bending and warping. Hosting 24 jumbo frets and inverse mother-of-pearl, sharkfin inlays, the 12"-16" compound-radius rolled ebony fingerboard is designed for highly technical lightspeed playing -- more curved by the nut for comfortable chording, it flattens out up the neck for increasingly fast playing and bends without fretting out. Luminlay glow-in the-dark side dots provide exceptional fingerboard guidance even on the darkest stages, while a heel-mount truss rod adjustment wheel allows for quick neck relief tweaks on the fly.

The HSS pickup configuration features a set of versatile Seymour Duncan pickups that deliver tonal clout. The Seymour Duncan JB TB-4 bridge pickup roars with hot-rodded attitude and a powerful low end, while the Seymour Duncan Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 RWRP Single-Coil middle and Seymour Duncan Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 neck pickups radiate with glassy treble tone and scooped mids that perform well across a multitude of genres. Harness the sonic horsepower with a versatile five-way blade pickup switch and single volume and tone controls. Other premium features include a Floyd Rose 1500 Series double-locking tremolo bridge system for reliable tuning stability throughout daring and aggressive playing theatrics, Gotoh MG-T locking tuners read more and Dunlop dual-locking strap buttons.

Equipped with all the essential attributes, the American Series Soloist SL3 leads the way in establishing a new standard in the premium high-performance category as it inspires players across the globe.

Born in Southern California in 1980, Jackson was the first brand to embrace the needs of hard rock and metal virtuosos by providing instruments with feature sets that catered to high-velocity playing.

Jackson has continued to revolutionize its high-performance craft over the last 40 years, while dominating the metal landscape as the industry's leading shred machines. The Jackson American Series is the next chapter in Jackson's storied legacy, marking the first made-in-Corona flagship product line for the brand.

So to start I have a older jackson custom shop SL2H and this new American line in my opinion is a insane deal when i compare my SL2H to my new American standard SL3 they got everything right and i do mean everything. The way the guitar feels when your holding it they got it right right down to the weight of the two instruments. The fast yet not too slim D profile neck the frets the string action they got it all right the new American standard is virtually identical when compared to my custom shop SL2H. The differences no binding on the jackson SL3 but that is a feature on jackson SL3s not very many of them come with binding. That spoken jackson have cut the fret tangs to create a wood binding on the new american jackson SL3s. The floyed rose 1500 also not a big deal to me it feels the same as my floyed rose original and its made to the same specs as a floyed rose original. Upgrades that my custom shop doesn't have the new American SL3s come stock with strap locks luminlay side dots quick access truss rod wheel and locking gotoh tuners all missing features on my custom shop axe. How does it play compared to my custom shop identical and like my custom shop SL2H the American standard SL3 is a fast built for all the fretboard tricks metal shred monster. This guitar plays itself and is unapologetically most definitely a USA jackson. My only complaint is it would have been nice to get a true hard shell case with it but the lightweight case it comes with will do the trick. read more
