Guild Starfire Deluxe DC semi-hollow body double-cutaway guitars are reissues of some of Guild's most iconic instruments. Part of the Newark St. Collection of vintage-inspired guitars and basses, they faithfully honor their '60s-era legacy of exceptional quality and vibe while also adding contemporary touches that make them more relevant to today's players -- at prices working guitarists will appreciate.

A variety of Starfire guitar models were introduced throughout the 1960s, including both single- and double-cutaway guitars available with various pickup configurations and finishes. John Lennon, Dave Davies, Buddy Guy, Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, and Tom Fogerty all played Starfire guitars.

Starfire Deluxe DC guitars boast arched tops and backs and comfortable Vintage Soft U Shape mahogany set necks with rosewood fingerboards. Deluxe appointments include ivory body, F-hole, and fingerboard binding; Guild Peak logo and Chesterfield headstock inlays; and block fingerboard inlays. Grover G2TM open-gear tuners and Guild Tune-o-matic bridges ensure accurate and stable tuning, along with either a Guild Vibrato or Guild stop tailpiece.

Guild HB-2+ humbucking pickups with Alnico V magnets deliver a wide range of tones from old-school warmth and depth to cutting-edge crunch and clarity. And in addition to dual Volume and Tone controls a Master Volume control lets you adjust the overall volume without affecting the settings for the individual pickups.
