The Starfire IV ST Maple puts a modern twist on a highly popular semi-hollow Guild classic. With its graceful double cutaway and thinline body, the original Starfire IV was prized by many guitarists from the mid-1960s onward for its incomparable tone and feel. Premium features include an all maple body, a solid spruce center block, rosewood fingerboard, and Guild's hallmark mahogany neck with maple center seam. This model features a Tune-O-Matic bridge, with a stopbar tailpiece for increased sustain and stability. The Starfire IV ST Maple includes dual LB-1 "Little Bucker" pickups, replicas of Guild's original smaller size humbucking pickups. Available in Emerald Green or Vintage Sunburst, and includes hardshell case.

I bought the guild open box to save a few bucks. Super fast shipping. Opened it up and couldn’t be happier. I’ve played it through a peavey classic 30, fender blues jr., fender deluxe reverb, and a hot rod deluxe. It sounds fantastic through every amp clean or dirty. I have high end strats, teles, and Paul’s. This is my go to guitar. It is a large guitar “335” but I’m a big guy so issues for me. If you want a one guitar does all this is worth taking a look at! I didn’t need manufacturers support so I didn’t score it. It was nicely setup out of the box.
