The Gibson Les Paul Classic guitar conveys major elements of the iconic Les Paul look with the legendary tonewood combination of a mahogany-and-maple non-weight relief body, bound body top and fingerboard with trapezoid fingerboard inlays. Fast and comfortable playability is increased with a Slim Taper neck. Additional appointments include a pair of P-90 pickups, ABR bridge, nickel-plated hardware, and hand-wired electronics including Orange Drop capacitors.

I just bought this 2018 Gibson Les Paul Classic in a gold top finish from zZounds. The guitar is gorgeous, but what Gibson isn't. Has a great gloss finish and that wonderful new Gibson smell. The P90 absolutely GROWL when you play it. It has a wide range of tones, between the neck and bridge pickups. When playing with mid level gain, through a tube amp, these p90's have a very raw hardcore sound (GROWL) and sustain forever, but they still clean up nicely in the clean channel or when you roll back on the volume, I guess that has to do with the hand-wiring and orange drop caps. The neck is sweet and very comfortable, and the action was good right out of the case. It is heavy, but I never get weight relieved guitars so I am use to the weight. Comes with a nice little Gibson leather strap, multi-tool and cleaning cloth. Mine, was missing a truss rod wrench but that is no big deal. I have bought lots of Gibson Guitars from zZounds (3 a year) for about 5 years now, and as usual, they were great to deal with. Guitar was in my hands 2 days after I placed my order. The Gibson Les Paul Classic, is a all around great instrument that gives you that great vintage feel and tone. You cannot go wrong with this guitar.
