Neck-thru-body. 6-in-a-line banjo style machine heads.
Overview
Performance, playability and styling are the hallmarks of the Firebird VII. When first introduced in 1965, the Firebird VII was celebrated for its natural feel, fast action and wide range of tone. With its 9-ply Mahogany and Walnut neck-thru-body design, the 6-in-a-line banjo style machine heads and the adjustable ABR bridge and stop bar tailpiece, this guitar became the rage.
The new Firebird VII also feature vintage replicas of Gibson's high-output mini-humbucker producing bright and focused output, while retaining the famous Gibson humbucker performance. The ebony fingerboard and Lyre vibrola add to its expressive range. Available in Cherry and Vintage Sunburst. Also available with all mahogany bodies in Blue Metallic, Copper Metallic and Red Metallic

"Not just another Guitar but a SOUND investment..."

Features
I got a Gibson centenary edition case, a Gibson diamond inlay ring, a framed photo of this guitar, a gibson strap with leather cleaning fluid, and also a certificate of authenticity because this guitar is a limited edition and only 101 were made also got a spare set of strings. Not much of any use really.
Quality
The quality of finish on this guitar is astounding cannot fault anything other than say that after playing this guitar for a short while you do have to have a duster/rag at hand to polish the back of the neck because it begins to feel sticky and matt like on the surface. but the body is absolutely beautiful. I have the gold plated hardware which does look nice to start with but the volume and tone controls do look slightly tarnished even with regular polishing and cleaning.
Value
It is value for money although i paid extra for the centenary edition and with all the gold hardware and diamond inlays cost me
