It is good and does its job.
Sound
I am using this pair since 1998. The sound is good comparing to professional headphones. I have also used Sennheiser HD600. They are not comparable but, Fostex absolutely satisfies the user by its crystal clear sound.
Features
I bought it from Japan. It was in a plastic case... I still use this case for some other purposes.
Quality
The coating on the soft edges of the headphones are all gone. It was a fine plastic coating... The Sennheiser HD600 made some problems with the cable junctions... This one has nothing...
Value
It worths the price i think. but when i was buying this, there were no much alternatives. I bought it because it was cheap. I now see that there are cheaper models around.
