New upgraded version! Thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Super-size frets.
Overview
The Highway One series is upgraded for '06! Super-size frets, '70s styling, new alnico pickups in the neck and middle positions and new colors take this amazing guitar to the next level.
The new neck and middle position pickups on the Highway One Stratocaster HSS guitar produce a more round tone that can sound glassy and great with high gain. The thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish lets the body wood's natural tone shine through, making for one of the most exciting new instruments in the Fender family!

I will own this forever I'm sure. Would never even think of selling it partially because of the deal I got and the other reason being Fender, lol. Zzouns. com are amazing people and I look forward to do alot more business with them. Thank you Zzounds.com
Sound
The sound that I get from this guitar so far meets my needs. I am however a tone freak and I am currently looking to replace all of the pickups due to my OCD.
Features
This guitar comes with a gig bag. I do wish Fender would provide a hard shell case as the guitar is a little pricey but totally worth every penny I've paid. Controls are solid and no noise thus far. The neck plays absolutely beautiful but I do plan on building a fretless fretboard for it because that would be amazing. The body is so beautiful and fits me like a glove. I would however recommend replacing the tuners because they do slip a little and are very touchy. I'll probably replace them with Fender locking Schallers
Ease of Use
The guitar practically plays itself. A really good deal if you ask me...
Quality
It's a Fender.
Value
I got my Highway One Strat for a really good price. It was a scratch and dent model which made me a little bit nervous. When I did receive the guitar (really quick might I add, free shipping too) it took me about 5 mns to find a flaw. There was a slight finish flaw at the very… read more top of the contour, nothing crazy though. I paid 639.99 for it and I can't believe they knocked off $250.00 for that. I'm still in shock. These guys rock...
Manufacturer Support
Haven't needed it.
The Wow Factor
It's a fender. Very sexy to me. I still prefer nech through bodies and set necks though.
