Overview
When Jimmy Eat World guitarist and frontman Jim Adkins collaborated with Fender in designing his perfect guitar, the result was his signature JA-90 Telecaster Thinline guitar. Fender craftsmen sat down with Adkins and went over his old Fender TC-90 spec by spec, making several important changes that subsequently produced this unique model. Features include a maple neck set into a semi-hollow ash body, Seymour Duncan soap-bar pickups, independent volume and tone controls, Adjusto-Matic bridge and anchored tailpiece. Sweetness!

This guitar is the loch ness monster of telecasters. Everything about the setup screams les paul except for the visual aesthetics themselves. The only issues I had to deal with were the changing of the tuners and putting in noiseless pickups( the seymore Duncan's are great but they sure buzz). Other than those minor changes, this thing sounded great straight out of the box. If you enjoy playing alternative, indy, grunge, or even punk, then this is your next toy. My only issue tonally is that the cleans get really tinny in middle position. Ive got a couple of gibson pauls and I can honestly say I've made this guitar my favorite "child". I bought mine in natural and I plan on purchasing another in the arctic white!
