Overview
In the past, 16" bass drums have been considered quite unconventional, often being made from an extra 16" floor tom with conversion kit hardware. In recent years, 16" bass drums have become more common in factory configurations. Kits such as the Ludwig "Breakbeat" have been met with overwhelming interest. At this time, Evans is extending their most popular and appropriate lines into the 16" size.
Unlike 18-26" bass drums, 16" drums can often feature metal tom hoops or standard bass drum hoops. These two variations require varied designs from the drumhead flesh hoop

Unfortunately, couldn't use- this head does not fit a 16-inch Sonor bass drum jungle kit Very disappointed in Evans.. First time buying from zZounds / Michael fixed the problem ASAP! Even though it was the manufacturer fault -I would purchase from here again-Great customer service!

I've heard this head on other kits, and it sounds great!! Just doesn't fit the 16 inch Sonor 3005 full maple bop bass drum, SHAME EVANS!!
