This was a blem customer return, no blems that I can find. Thank you zZounds for making these available. I dont need the pay,ent plan, but I do use it, it makes this hobby a little easier, and gives us a chances to try something like this that isnt available locally. Thats said. This guitar is good, but has things I dont care for and I wouldnt know if I hadnt ordered this one. I dont care for the neck joint at the 15th fret. I play blues and everything is shifted and I feel cramped. Reaching the higher frets is difficult. Is you are of smaller frame and have issues with getting around on a 335, this is perfect for you. But Im a big guy, it just feels cramped. It played fine out of the box, and I like the neck profile. The trapeze tail piece feels cheap, in fact, all the chrome feels like cheap pot metal, and the chrome feels cheap. Like they went cheap and used import hardware I dont know it feels, like parts from China. I might not be but feels that way.Between the neck joint and bridge, I feel cramped, for instance take a 335, take the body, and push the body up to the 14th fret, but leave everything else where it is. The neck pickup is pushed back by the neck. The bridge is pushed back, everything is pushed back. Im not sure how to explain that. The tuners are ok, a lot like the tuners on my Juniors. Nothing special. Now the tone. It does its own thing, a thing Im not a fan of, and I like P90’s but on an arch top, with very very little adjustment being dog ear. And it just read more doesnt have that open airy tone like a 335 even though its a full hollow, that doesnt add to the open tone you'd get with a 335. The finish seems this polished and pretty but thin, it feels, like an import. If that makes sense. Im not a Gary Clark Jr fan, he seems to love them and gets great tone from them, but, Im just not into it. And lastly, I dont think Ill ever get used to Epiphone on the headstock. I honestly think you could get an import, swap the pickups and give a good set up and have just as good of a guitar. I dont feel this one, as nice as it is, is worth the asking price. I think they cut corners and went cheap to save money in some areas. But all in all its a good guitar for someone, made in Nashville, and pretty sexy, its a player, but its just not for me. Im not impressed. I had high hopes, but I should have spent the extra and got the 335… The only reason, I decided to try this is because I had ordered a 345, which was awaiting shipment, for 3 days, and then canceled, because they couldt find it or something. Like they sold it and didnt update the site. So I thought Id try this, and its not my thing, but as I said, if you are smaller or have difficulty with the body on the 335, this is great for you. Its not a bad guitar. This isnt a totally negative review, its just my opinion, and these are things I dont like. There is plenty to like about it. So dont base your decision on my preferences. If you can play one first do it. I cant do that being very very rural farm its 3hrs to the nearest music store. But if you can, go play one first. I prefer a 335. This is definitely not even a cousin to a 335. Its an animal all its own.
