The volume control hides a push/pull coil split for even more highly useful tonal variations, ideal for everything from a biting lead sound to thick, chunky rhythm work. The no-load tone control operates like a standard tone control from positions one through nine, removing itself from the read more circuit at position ten for transparent sound that lets the full natural voice of the guitar shine through. Can’t believe I’m the first to write a review on these! Got the Pelham green one yesterday. It came two days after ordering. Originally ordered the Kramer Traci Gunns voyager, but it arrived with a broken headstock and a neck joint crack. I hadn’t planned on spending the extra cash on a Charvel, but man am I glad I did! This thing rocks! Superb quality and set up right out the box. All I did was lower the string height a tiny bit to my liking, and away we went. I thought I was going to have to adjust the truss rod to accommodate the lower action and maybe even level some frets, but nope. It’s a very high quality build. No fret sprout, nicely rolled fingerboard edges, great neck contour, and I thought the neck was gonna feel like raw wood, but it’s an awesome smoothe satin like a well worn in vintage guitar. I have a 2020 Les Paul Classic and I think it’s going in the case for a while. That’s how good this thing is. I’m not a huge Floyd Rose user, but I know the difference between a good one and bad one having owned over a hundred guitars in my 30 plus years of buying and selling guitars. The 1000 series holds its own against the originals from back in the day. All in all, I’m very pleased with this purchase and of course zZounds is always going to be my go to for musical gear.
