Triple Stereo Loops

This Loop Station gives live musicians control over three simultaneous stereo tracks, each with its own set of dedicated volume knobs and transport-control footswitches. Getting started with the RC-300 is easy and straightforward. When you want to capture a song idea fast, use the Auto Recording feature, which starts recording the moment you begin playing your instrument or as soon as you start a connected audio player. Count-In mode provides a bar of rhythm read more before recording starts, and the Undo/Redo function lets you edit as you play. For instant jamming, tap in to the RC-300's preloaded audio backing tracks (bass tracks, piano tracks, and more).

Expanded Pedalboard

Thanks to its extra-wide pedalboard and oversized footswitches, you won't have to tiptoe around the RC-300. It sports an Expression pedal that can be assigned to a variety of parameters, enlarged footswitches for controlling Record/Play and Stop for each track, and a master All Start/Stop footswitch. Three independent faders provide immediate control of each track's output volume. If you need even more to step on, you have the option to connect your own external expression pedals and footswitches.

Loaded with FX

Sixteen onboard effects allow you to process your tracks and external input signals with Transpose, Flanger, Phaser, Modulator, vocal effects, and more. To activate a certain effect, all you have to do is hit a dedicated Loop FX footswitch. And with the expression pedal, you get hands-free control over the effects parameters in real time. Apply the effects to any single track as well as to the entire mix -- it's up to you.

Stay On the Beat with Built-In Rhythms

Better than a click track, the looper pedal has an onboard drum machine, so you can play along with rhythm patterns in the RC-300's sound library as you record. Choose from 83 rhythm types covering a range of genres, including rock, pop, and Latin. You can adjust rhythm volume with the turn of a knob, set the tempo incrementally, or set it via tap tempo. When you save a phrase, the rhythm type and time signature will also be saved. It's no big deal if you get slightly off the beat -- use the Loop Quantize feature to keep your recordings looped in time.

Convenient Connections

The USB port provides a handy way to back up loops externally, import and export WAV files between your computer and the RC-300, stream audio to a computer, and more. An XLR input complete with phantom power allows singers, percussionists, violinists, beatboxers, or anyone with a miked instrument to perform with the looper pedal. MIDI Sync allows an external device to control the tempo of the RC-300.

Triple Stereo Loops

Create, stack, and manipulate multi-layered loops with the RC-300's three stereo tracks - each track being independently controllable. The "Auto Recording" feature starts recording the moment you begin playing your instrument, or as soon as you start a connected audio player. Count-In mode gives you one-bar of rhythm before recording starts. You can Undo/Redo as you go. The sky's the limit with three hours of recording time!

Expanded Pedalboard

The RC-300's ultra-wide pedalboard is equipped with an Expression pedal (which can be assigned to a variety of parameters) and enlarged footswitches for controlling REC/PLAY and STOP for each track. There's also a master ALL START/STOP footswitch onboard. Additionally, three independent faders provide immediate control of each track's output volume. And if that's not enough control under your hands and feet, you can also connect external Expression pedals and footswitches (sold separately).

Onboard FX

Process your tracks and external-input signals with the RC-300's expressive onboard effects, including Transpose, Flanger, Phaser, Modulator, vocal effects, and more. A dedicated Loop FX footswitch is provided for instant activation of the onboard effects. Control the effects parameters in real time with the Expression pedal for hands-free creativity onstage. You can apply the effects to any single track as well as to the entire mix, expanding your creativity and musical expression.

Rhythm Guide and Preloaded Audio

To keep your loops tight and in time, you can play along with one of the cool rhythm patterns in the RC-300's onboard library as you record; the Loop Quantize feature helps you having your recordings looped in time. Dozens of rhythm types are onboard, including rock, pop, shuffle, Latin, and more. A dedicated knob lets you adjust the volume of the rhythm, and you can set the tempo incrementally or via tap tempo. You can also specify the time signature. When you save a phrase, the rhythm type and time signature will also be saved. To get you up and running right away, the RC-300 comes preloaded with audio backing tracks (including bass tracks, piano tracks, etc.) for instant play-along performance and fun.

USB Connectivity

Connect the RC-300 to your computer via a standard USB cable, and back up your phrases externally for safekeeping. You can import and export WAV files between your computer and the RC-300; 16-bit/44.1kHz WAV files of up to 1.7GB in size can be used.

Excellent product for many, many applications. The BOSS RC 300 can be set up to function in a way that best compliments your needs no matter what you have in mind. For me, I found the phrase memory parameters easy to program for a variety of templates. The RC 300 manual is straight forward and very simple to follow. I set up a generic phrase memory template for constructing songs/instrumentals. Track 1, track 2 and track 3 are programmed to work out verse/chorus/bridge song formats. The modular style record/playback and overdub allows me to find the best sequence for a new song. I can record a verse, a chorus and bridge with the ability to re-record if the first take isn't satisfactory. In a nut shell, this loop station is a real time tracking/overdub and mix session with the option of saving each project to a phrase memory. This phrase memory can be named in the RC 300 and then exported to a computer for future use as well as additional tweaks. I could go on forever writing about the RC 300 but choose to stop here. If you can think it then the RC 300 can make it happen. Another solid, complex yet user friendly noise toy from the BOSS team. Well done BOSS and thanks for making the creative process that much more enjoyable. A+++, get this loop station and be amazed.

Any music made with actual instruments. Never been a big fan of electronic "in the box" music done %100 with a computer.
