The accompanying routing mixer/app is confusing and the digtial i/o is maddeningly difficult to navigate. As and experienced engineer with over 20 years experience, I find the documentation to be ridiculously insufficient. I challenge anyone to read the documentation and try to use the spdf i/o as an insert. I have attempted on both Mac and PC.The sound quality is good and monitoring features are robust. Preamps sound very good. The new-agey design is a bit overdone, as well. It will look outdated in a couple of years. Also, the plastic knobs feel very cheap and toy-like. For $900 they should at least have a metal knob for the large volume and monitor control.The MBox 3 Pro was so well built and fabulous that this one is a bit of a disappointment in the build quality and design layout. Further testing and use is neccessary for me.
