I had been using Propellorhead Balance interface since it came out in 2011...the unit was starting to show wear and tear (sticky 48v button) plus, I purchased Sennheiser HD 600 headphones, which the Balance interface could not power (they're 300ohms)...I am a solo musician (been using the computer to record since 1988 on an Atari Mega 2 (2 mb of ram!) using Notator/Creator) so, I've been through it all...I have all the Arturia products and started to look at their MiniFuse 1 to replace my Balance...it had all I really needed: 96kh recording (though it does go up to 192kh), direct monitoring, 48v phantom power, combo line/mic input, and a very small footprint as I have limited desk space. Well, I've had it a couple of days and it's built like a Mack truck, flashes on the game knob if your signal is too hot, has enough power from the headphone jack to power my HD600 headphones and, of course, the useful addition of s USB-A port on the back...I recommend it to any solo musician who doesn't need a bunch of inputs/outputs, or a youtuber or podcaster...all of this for 99 bucks...plus, a ton of free software to boot!
