After 50 years of making guitars, continual improvement through the use of emerging technologies, processes, and materials is still at the heart of Alvarez culture. Alvarez guitars are constructed correctly in every sense from raw material preparation to construction and manufacturing processes. The tone woods are carefully cured; the components such as neck blocks and wood joints are carefully designed. The painting, sanding and polishing techniques we use are continually researched and developed, and the tone is impeccably crafted and married to read more a stable, designed and lively sound box.
The term "solid top" of course refers to the soundboard of an acoustic guitar being made of solid wood, rather than being laminated. However, just because the top is solid, it does not necessarily mean the sound automatically benefits from this feature. The tone of the instrument only improves significantly when the whole guitar is built correctly to optimize the energy a solid soundboard can generate. Artist Series is built to do exactly this.
Each model is designed to get the best out of its components, and for them to work together to produce balance, lively projection and great response. These components include bracing architecture that is specifically designed for each body shape or tonal requirement. The Bi-level bridge is designed to heighten string tension and improve sustain and response. Real bone nut and saddle, premium tone woods and the crafted attenuated finish all further the quality of construction and positively impact the performance of the instrument.
This caring approach to development comes from one simple goal: To deliver the best guitars in the market at every price point, instruments that are truly amazing value and offer a fantastic player experience.

I was in the market for for new acoustic guitar and am in worship ministry and also record and produce records. I wanted something full with plenty of projection and solid low Everyone said to go Taylor or Martin. I went to a local guitar center and played all the Martins and Taylor’s they had. I was not impressed. They don’t make those guitars like they did especially in the 90’s. I ended up picking up this guitar. Let’s say itwas love at first hearing! I strummed one chord and was amazed at the projection, low end and sustain. Incredible playability on chords, lead and everything in between. I ordered one from zZounds thanks to their amazing payment plan option and eagerly awaited its arrival. Upon first inspection, the guitar came set up great and played awesome. It sounds great plugged in and in front of a mic in the studio! This guitar seriously blows away the big boy name brand guitars that are double and triple the price.
