What's special about this item?

Feature: What it does:
Solid Sitka spruce top Projects rich, crisp and responsive tone
Mahogany back and sides Dry and airy tone; clear, present midrange
Rosewood fretboard Open, warm tone and smooth playing feel
Genuine bone nut and saddle Enhanced sonic character

If you're looking for killer acoustic tone & playability combined with top-shelf fit & finish at a value price, look no further than the Alvarez AD60. With standard features normally only found on high-end instruments, the Alvarez AD60 delivers that huge acoustic sound you never thought you could afford. At the heart of the Alvarez AD60's amazing tone is its hand-sanded scalloped bracing, which allows the top to resonate more freely without compromising strength & stability.

If you didn't think an inexpensive acoustic could put out this much bottom end, think again! Alvarez's bi-level bridge puts more down-pressure on the genuine bone saddle, creating a more efficient energy transfer from the strings to the top, giving you more volume than you ever thought possible from a guitar in this price range. A bone nut and rosewood bridge pins keep the good vibrations happening. Alvarez also refined their neck profile, with a thinner, faster neck that plays easier, yet still feels solid in your hands. The AD60 sets the standard for pure acoustic power at an unprecedented price!

Holy cow. This is a nice fiddle. I have been playing guitar for 15 year or more, I don't remember. I wanted an acoustic. I have played several Alvarez models over the years and I have always been a fan. I can say this is the absolute best Alvarez model I have EVER played (I have never played a Yairi or master series yet though). This guitar is smooth, plays great out of the box, and the fit and finished is excellent. If you are looking for an inexpensive, but incredibly awesome guitar, this if for you. The pictures look kind of generic, and bland, but in person the guitar looks awesome. It has a matte finish all over, but with a gloss top, which was a pleasant surprise. The neck is smooth as butter and has a slight V profile. If you are V neck fan you will dig it. I love the V neck. Was skeptical of the hardware since it is no name, but the tuners hold steady and are smooth. TL;DR: Buy this guitar, it is great.
