Holy cow. This is a nice fiddle. I have been playing guitar for 15 year or more, I don't remember. I wanted an acoustic. I have played several Alvarez models over the years and I have always been a fan. I can say this is the absolute best Alvarez model I have EVER played (I have never played a Yairi or master series yet though). This guitar is smooth, plays great out of the box, and the fit and finished is excellent. If you are looking for an inexpensive, but incredibly awesome guitar, this if for you. The pictures look kind of generic, and bland, but in person the guitar looks awesome. It has a matte finish all over, but with a gloss top, which was a pleasant surprise. The neck is smooth as butter and has a slight V profile. If you are V neck fan you will dig it. I love the V neck. Was skeptical of the hardware since it is no name, but the tuners hold steady and are smooth. TL;DR: Buy this guitar, it is great.

First of all, ZZOUNDS makes it possible for folks like myself to own and enjoy so many beautiful guitars. Now.... the Alvarez AD 60 that I received today is everything that I had hoped for! Just look at the reality of this VERY quality guitar. .... right down to the genuine bone nut and saddle... solid sitka top and beautiful fit and finish. This is a quality instrument with features of many much more expensive guitars.
Sound
Beautiful tone right out of the well packaged box. I love that it comes so well set up. Intonation is quite good
Features
I have priced guitars for two or three times this price and these others could not compare with this value.
Ease of Use
I have said it before... these folks are incredible!..
Quality
Great tuners, bone nut and saddle, solid top, very good strings!
Value
This guitar could sell for twice the price and still be a great value.
Manufacturer Support
Have not dealt with the company
The Wow Factor
Absolutely beautiful!

"Just an honest, good playing dreadnaught"

If you’re on the fence, just get it. I honestly like this guitar more than my Martin OMCP 15. It’s genuinely a full size, full tone, good ol’ dreadnaught. It’s a joy to play, and the fit and finish well exceeds the price tag. Not only does it play good but it in all honesty it looks really nice as well. The little touches and attention to detail really floored me. It looks and feels and plays like a guitar well above its price point. And it punches above its weight class in sound and projection. It’s a player’s guitar. It’s made to be enjoyed, and be a joy to play. Sounds great mic’d in a straight on condenser at the 12th or in a mid/side configuration. Hell, sounds great in its own. The most remarkable feature besides the very nice fit and finish, is the neck. A lot of acoustics like to do either the baseball bat style deep thick neck or the poor imitation of an electric neck. This one is like the Strat Pro Deep C but a little meatier, but not super thick. It’s incredibly comfortable, especially for larger hands. I don’t know what the radius is on the fret board but it’s just as accommodating with out being flat. Do yourself a favor, buy yourself the “cheap acoustic.” This one is neither cheap or low in quality. It’s my favorite guitar to play, and is almost never sitting on a stand because I’m constantly playing.

Beautiful fit and finish excellent sound. Nice smooth neck well made guitar and good deal at zZounds my favorite music connection for guitars and gear I'm not a serious fan of the strings it arrived with but tgats an easy fix I prefer a bit lighter gauge these feel tight and lack that ring I would expect from this guitar..

This is one of those Guitars you play and say holy cow! I will be brief and I say it easily competes with high end Guitars of any brand maybe not there as much as D28 maybe but for tenth of a price Ad60 gives me 80% of that sound !!! it looks awesome in your hand these pics here don't do justice it looks too generic ! but this thing sings and so responsive to touch and looks so sweet in your hands and btw the NECK is so damn comfy its total beginner player motivating Instrument it feels way easier to play than any cheap Martins you get especially all those HPLs

Beautiful sounding and easy playing dreadnought. I wanted something simple or a little understated because for me, it's all about the tone and Alvarez always delivers on craftsmanship. This one was set-up perfectly right out of the box. This was my first instrument purchase from zZounds and I'm so glad I chose these guys. My order was processed quick, shipped the same day and I received it a day later. That's how you develop relationships with customers! Thanks zZounds...I gotta get back to playin! Dan
