Holy cow. This is a nice fiddle. I have been playing guitar for 15 year or more, I don't remember. I wanted an acoustic. I have played several Alvarez models over the years and I have always been a fan. I can say this is the absolute best Alvarez model I have EVER played (I have never played a Yairi or master series yet though). This guitar is smooth, plays great out of the box, and the fit and finished is excellent.
If you are looking for an inexpensive, but incredibly awesome guitar, this if for you. The pictures look kind of generic, and bland, but in person the guitar looks awesome. It has a matte finish all over, but with a gloss top, which was a pleasant surprise. The neck is smooth as butter and has a slight V profile. If you are V neck fan you will dig it. I love the V neck. Was skeptical of the hardware since it is no name, but the tuners hold steady and are smooth.
TL;DR: Buy this guitar, it is great.

"Just an honest, good playing dreadnaught"

If you’re on the fence, just get it. I honestly like this guitar more than my Martin OMCP 15. It’s genuinely a full size, full tone, good ol’ dreadnaught. It’s a joy to play, and the fit and finish well exceeds the price tag. Not only does it play good but it in all honesty it looks really nice as well. The little touches and attention to detail really floored me. It looks and feels and plays like a guitar well above its price point. And it punches above its weight class in sound and projection. It’s a player’s guitar. It’s made to be enjoyed, and be a joy to play. Sounds great mic’d in a straight on condenser at the 12th or in a mid/side configuration. Hell, sounds great in its own. The most remarkable feature besides the very nice fit and finish, is the neck. A lot of acoustics like to do either the baseball bat style deep thick neck or the poor imitation of an electric neck. This one is like the Strat Pro Deep C but a little meatier, but not super thick. It’s incredibly comfortable, especially for larger hands. I don’t know what the radius is on the fret board but it’s just as accommodating with out being flat. Do yourself a favor, buy yourself the “cheap acoustic.” This one is neither cheap or low in quality. It’s my favorite guitar to play, and is almost never sitting on a stand because I’m constantly playing.

Beautiful fit and finish excellent sound. Nice smooth neck well made guitar and good deal at zZounds my favorite music connection for guitars and gear I'm not a serious fan of the strings it arrived with but tgats an easy fix I prefer a bit lighter gauge these feel tight and lack that ring I would expect from this guitar..

This Alvarez AD60 is not as nice as last one they made. Real Heavy guitar. Not as playable with a flatter radius.

Beautiful sounding and easy playing dreadnought. I wanted something simple or a little understated because for me, it's all about the tone and Alvarez always delivers on craftsmanship. This one was set-up perfectly right out of the box. This was my first instrument purchase from zZounds and I'm so glad I chose these guys. My order was processed quick, shipped the same day and I received it a day later. That's how you develop relationships with customers! Thanks zZounds...I gotta get back to playin! Dan
