"Great MPK Mini to pair with a MPC or use with your favorite DAW"

This midi controller is great. The keys feel good, and the pads feel nice as well. The color on the grey unit I got reminds me of a retro MPC as do the grey pads. Make sure you pull out the browse knob if its not letting you "click" it in for "Enter" by default out of the box. It took me a minute to figure out that and now its working.as designed. The Studio Instrument VST/software you get with the device is pretty cool, as is the Ableton Live 12 Lite license. I'm not a huge fan of Ableton, but I know some producers/beatmakers swear by it so it's nice that's its there. I prefer making music on my MPC Key 61, but if you're looking for something to take on the go or if you can't spend a lot of money on music equipment, this device will get you going with MPC Beats, the included Ableton Live 12 Lite, or FL Studio. There's a lot you can do with midi learn and the keyboard, and it works great. The keys don't have aftertouch, but the pads do. The keys are bigger on this than they are on the mk3 variety of this keyboard, as well as you get a pitch and mod wheel instead of that silly joystick. Overall I give this thing 5 stars, and I recommend you grab it for your music making, especially if you're in the market for a mini keyboard midi controller. There's a bunch of other features, but I suggest you check out loopop's video on the device on Youtube to go over those.
