I own an American Strat with Don Mare super sports, a Les Paul with PG blues and a 335 with BK Mississippi Queens, so I can cover most genres. I had a Schecter Apocalypse C7 with sustainiac and loved the sound but wasn't overly impressed with playability. I needed a guitar for shred and metal, but able to play decent clean. I was torn between a few different Ibanez, ESP, and Jackson. I love the red reign finsh, so after a few review videos went with this and I was beyond impressed. Absolutely crushing metal tones, the S neck pickup working in conjunction with the bridge makes for so many cool effects and tricks. Best part is the playability. Very fast neck and the extra frets are very accessible. You can fly up and down the neck. Great set up out of the box. And the Red Reign is gorgeous. Lighter than I thought it would be also. Bridge is amazing. Pickups set perfect from the factory. I've bought a LOT of stuff here , but never written a review, but I was very , very impressed with this guitar . You will be too. The pay as you play is a god send !
