I probably would not replace this with the same mode.
Sound
Bass is deep, but I found the snare to be lacking a bit...not enough tonal difference between the top and mid area of the faceplate. It was better mic'd up with some tom/snare oriented verbs, but with no mics it is pretty one-sounded.
Features
The snare system works well and easily changed. The finish is very nice, and is in fact what caused me to go for this model.
Ease of Use
Obviously the playing of the cajon is pretty straightforward. Again, not enough differentiation in sound for me, as compared for example, to what I hear in a Meinl.
Quality
Made in Thailand, and I'm wondering if there are some QC issues. The unit I got had a warped upper corner. The fact that this unit does not have screws in the upper corners likely means it is prone to warping over time. The warped corner definitely impacted the sound.
Value
I think there are better out there.
Manufacturer Support
I'm going right down the middle on this one, as I am still waiting to see what the company (Toca) will do.
The Wow Factor
The finish is awesome.
