Sound: This pedal completely blew me away. I watched lots of product demonstrations on youtube before committing to purchase, but even that didn't prepare me for its effectiveness. My voice sounded absolutely crystal clear whether I was singing softly, in falsetto, or belting out yells and growls. It makes no difference what genre of music you play, this pedal will fit you right into the mix in an effortless fashion. Feature: This pedal is the mother load of vocal augmentations. The anti-feedback feature is incredibly useful. If the pedal blocks out 9 frequencies of feedback, it will lower the volume of your mic automatically by 3db one time only to allow you to adjust your input. That said, though, I tried as hard as I could to cause insane amounts of feedback and I couldn't create more than 7 different frequencies for it to block. I can't imagine anyone ever hitting 9. The EQ, compressor, and de-esser are pristine. Your voice will sound exactly how it would on a studio recording recorded in a high-end studio. Understandably, this also makes this pedal just as useful when recording vocals in a home studio as it is in a live setting. The best part? It's automatic...so you just set it and forget it which is a huge help if you are also a guitarist with a full pedal board like myself. I can just turn on the automated features before our show starts and not have to worry about the pedal until I turn it off after our set is finished. Speaking of recording in a studio, this pedal comes equipped with phantom power which can be switched on or off with ease. Those of you using a large-diaphragm condenser mic for studio vocals will be very pleased with how the effects on this pedal compliment the accuracy of your condenser mic. The 'warmth' feature is also nice when using a condenser mic as it helps bring up the lower tones that are sometimes neglected with certain condenser mics. The pitch correction in this pedal is slightly different than your standard auto-tune effect. This pedal was designed for people who can sing already and just desire a bit of correction in a live setting. So if you can't sing without auto-tune, this pedal is not the pedal for you. The correction is chromatic...meaning you don't set the key of the song. So if you sing a G# instead of a G...it won't correct you down to a G...you'll still be singing a G#, albeit a G# in perfect pitch. The pitch correction in this pedal is meant to polish up an already good vocalist. If you don't desire the pitch correction, you can turn it off entirely which was a very smart addition to this pedal. If you are a singer/songwriter, this pedal also serves as a DI box for your acoustic/electric guitar with inputs and outputs completely independent of the vocal ins, outs, and effects. This pedal also comes with a USB cable so you can hook it up to your computer and download firmware updates directly to the pedal. A very nice bonus. The ONLY feature that I wish this pedal had is a voice-doubler/detune. However, TC Helicon makes a few different pedals that have that feature and can be easily chained together with this pedal. The other effects this pedal has (and the effectiveness of those effects) really make the lack of a voice-doubler a moot point. Ease of Use: The pedal is very self-explanatory if you've ever dealt with any kind of effects pedal in the past. It wouldn't hurt to read the instruction manual (it's very, very short) just so you are fully aware of what every button, knob, and switch does. Like I said earlier, I play guitar while I sing. The automated features on this pedal are a godsend with all of the individual stomp-boxes that I use on my guitar throughout our live sets. You just turn on the pedal while you're sound-checking and let it work its magic the rest of the way through your set. Simple as that. One thing you want to make sure of is that your mic input is set properly, otherwise you'll get some really nasty vocal distortion coming through the house speakers if your mic starts clipping. There is a handy mic level indicator light on the face of the pedal that lets you know if your input is set properly. Green is good, red is bad (means you're clipping), and you want it to turn amber when you're singing your loudest. ALWAYS make sure to tell the guy working the soundboard that you are running your vocals through this pedal so that he doesn't attempt to EQ your vocals throughout the performance because all he'll be doing is fighting with your pedal's auto-EQ the whole time. Quality: When I first took the pedal out of the box, I could instantly tell that it was constructed well. The whole case is made of metal and it has a pretty decent weight to it, too. You could throw this thing against the wall and not do any damage to it. I just gigged with this pedal last night for the first time. Upon arriving to the gig, we opened the trunk to our car to unload our gear and everything had shifted inside in transit. This pedal slid right out of the trunk and fell a good 3 violent feet, face down, onto the concrete with my entire pedal-board falling out right on top of it. Not ONE scratch or scuff mark to the unit. Bravo, TC Helicon. Value: I feel almost like I ripped off TC Helicon with what I paid for this pedal. There really is no comparison to any other product out there in this price-range. Manufacturer Support: Haven't had to deal with support yet. The Wow Factor: The pedal is beautiful. Charcoal gray metal with a very glossy plastic face (it looks like glass...you have to see it for yourself). They did a perfect job matching is aesthetics to its functionality. It looks as incredible as it sounds. Overall: This pedal could very well be a part of my rig for the rest of my music career. I might supplement the pedal with something that has voice-doubling, but that's it. There's nothing else I need. If this pedal wound up lost or stolen, I'd replace it immediately with another one.

Sound: This is an incredible piece of hardware. Let me begin by saying I was very skeptical of the claims TC-Helicon makes on their videos. All I really needed was some adaptive EQing and deEssing. The pitch correction was a nice bonus. I play in a southern rock and blues band with about an hour and a half worth of set. I get a little worn out and sometimes distracted with playing guitar and singing, so i move around the mic alot. The adaptive settings on the Correct help so much with this, constantly adjusting for the best possible sound. I was very impressed with the feedback reduction, takes a second or two, but you can actually hear it cutting out trouble frequencies. If you're a starting band or a one man show without a sound guy i highly recommend this product. Feature: Power adapter..... could have come with a short XLR cable (all mine are 25ft for stage use... looks silly with a 25 ft XLR cable wrapped up on the floor for a 6ft run up the mic stand. Ease of Use: It doesn't get any easier... set it and forget it is true here. If you need to tweak, there aren't 100 buttons to worry about, just dial one knob for each "setting" and find your sweet spot, or go adaptive and let TC do it for you. Quality: Very well built. Rock solid, bright LEDs, tight XLR connections. Even the foot switches are high quality, no clicking sounds and pops. Just press down, on/off Value: For the money, this is an incredible piece of hardware. Paired with a sm58, this rivals most any high end set up i've heard 10 times this price. Manufacturer Support: I don't really have a frame of reference here other than the website and the driver, both incredibly helpful. The Wow Factor: This is a transparent piece of stage gear, not many people even notice i have it. But they hear it, and that's where Sex Appeal comes in here. People (other musicians) hear the sound of the vocals on stage and want to know how i get such a clean sound. Overall: I'm a picky buyer, so take it from me.... if you don't have a professional sound guy on staff for every show you do... BUY THIS
