The SE Electronics SE4 expands on the performance of the SE3 with interchangeable capsules. The mic is a remodeled SE3, designed to sound and perform exactly the same, and with very similar styling, but with one key new feature. The chassis has been re-engineered to accept 2 additional interchangeable capsules, a Hypercardioid and an Omni.

The SE4 packaging has also been updated with SE’s new hi spec black Aluminium, steel reinforced, flight cases. The SE4 package also ships with a full suspension shock mount included. zZounds is an authorized dealer of SE Electronics products.

"A new chinese microphone ?"

Sound: Metallic and too much clear for strings (cello ans violin). Icy sound, precise but surgical or something like that but not music. I recorded one cello'concert with the Fostex FR2-LE and the result is sharp but acid. I'm very disapointed for the price. Feature: It include shockmount (chinese...) but just the cardio capsule is offered in the pack ! Be carrefull, the pics are wrongs, you need to add a lot for additional capsules kit (very very expensive!). Ease of Use: Non professional specifications to confirm that it's an appaired stereo kit. No curve, for exemple. The microphone is big and heavy Quality: The shockmounts are poors but the body seems ok. Value: For a chinese microphone, it's very expansive... Manufacturer Support: I dont know, no problem yet. But the commercial information is strange : all fotos presents the news product with 3 capsules and it's a wrong way. The Wow Factor: Big stick but for what ? Overall: I want to find another stero matched pair for classicals strings instruments...
