Samson CQue8 4-Channel Headphone Amplifier

Plug in 8 sets of headphones, dial in independent volumes for 4 mixes, and press the "shape" buttons to reduce the mids for each mix on the Samson CQue8.

With the ability to personalize mixes, control individual volume and tone, and plug in eight sets of phones at once, the CQUE8 is the single solution to multiple monitoring issues. The CQUE8 is a four-channel headphone amplifier that gives you fine-tuned control over individual levels and mixes. In addition to eight outputs, Samson included independent volume control on each channel and a 6-segment LED indicator that shows the output for each channel, bringing the visual element to your audio. The channels also have a shape EQ switch to reduce the mid range and offer tone control for each channel, so listeners can manage their own personalized mixes. There is a main volume control as well to give you the option for overall level adjustment. Link outputs also allow the use of more than one CQUE8 in the instance of large-group monitoring.

I will use it until it dies or become obsolete. I will always review my options when spending my money. I like that it works every time I turn it on, every time. I do not like the shape feature.
Sound
I find the product stable. The sound is clear. For studio work it is a little to smooth not crisp, a little EQ helps. A $99 box is not where I would look for a specific sound. This device is a tool and it is only as good as the user, it gets the job done for me. I find it not load enough for live sound with out isolation headphones. When using this equipment master volume should never exceed 80% on all outputs in the stream. I listen through a pair of AKG K702s or my Shure SCL4s Phil D. Studio owner.
Features
This is a pretty bear bones peace of equipment. The meters help keep things at a realistic level and clean. I would say loose the shape button and the inject. A -db button set to 60%+ - would be useful.
Ease of Use
This unit is pretty simple. If there is more then one jack and it can be made very complex.
Quality
I give it no bad marks on construction.
Value
The price is good. I only compare apples to apples.
Manufacturer Support
I give them a 10 for not needing to call. Is great customer service great, if you need to call them every time you turn your equipment on.
