"this sums it up if your looking to purchase these"

Sound: i do alot of bar and club djing and these subs for the most part are nice but have a few setbacks. first off the cutoff for the frequency is 51hz wich is very high for a subwoofer, so if you are looking to slam out deep bass these will not be adequit. if u play music like high energy with a quick punch or techno style music these will rock for you. ant the last thing is the plastic ports on the 4 corners are cheap and the screws will strip out and vibrate out. Feature: nice product overall built in casters and nice terminal plate Ease of Use: plug and play Value: you dont get much better for the price Manufacturer Support: never had to use them but i will soon to see if they will warranty the ports that stripped out. always liked peavey they make great amps. The Wow Factor: i think i can find better in the price range but it is competitive

Sound: I bought one sp218 for my church recently. We do some really bassy stuff like Delerious, Stavascare, and some other hard rock/punk/metal type stuff. This enclose produces nothing but smooth loud bass all night long and was able to add that extra thump to our drummer's double kick bass style. I've also used it for our all night long Lord of the Rings movie festival. The ground was literally shaking in the area we were using it. I was afraid I was going to dislodge ceiling tiles on the level beneath us. It was truely amazing. Feature: These speakers rock all the way down to 25 db. How can you compare that with anything else on the market? It often get's run on 2,400 watts at 4 ohms off a Berhinger amp that has to be bi-amped to get maximum use out of it. The only thing I might want added would be a built in pyro technics display, but that might be too dangerous. Quality: It's Peavey, I don't need to say more. Value: Dollar for dollar this subwoofer kicks anyone right in the teeth. Manufacturer Support: Never had any problems, never had to call them. The Wow Factor: Music should never be played without at least one of these. I hope to be getting another one soon. It's HUGE and BLACK what more can you want... Overall: Let's be serious. I have talked to guys who like Makie subs... they are a bunch of punks. They obviously have never heard these low rider speakers. These speakers put everyone else to shame. Anyone who buys anything else is going to be cryin' home to mama. Component part systems are here to stay! I will never have to replace a speaker and amp because I blew one. I will only ever replace what is blown. Speaker/amp combos will never dominate the music industry... they are total crap!
