Low cost, pro-quality loudspeaker!
With amplified music, your sound is only as good as your loudspeakers. Carefully crafted mixes with custom-tweaked EQ's aren't going to matter if the speakers are lame. When you're ready to upgrade your PA system, nobody blends quality and value like Peavey. Their PV-series loudspeakers are built like tanks, sound fantastic, and are priced to fit any tour budget.
Wide frequency range
As front-of-house mains, PV115's offer two-way performance across the full audio spectrum. The wide frequency range from a low 46Hz all the way up to 21kHz is capable of delivering bomb-dropping bass, glassy highs, and everything in-between with equal accuracy and presence. Every instrument in the band can sit in its own zone in the mix, adding texture and detail to your music.
Big bass from the woofer
Where some loudspeakers only give you low-end boominess, the PV115's single 15-inch woofer reproduces lows and low-mids with punch and definition. Your audience will be able to lock-in with the beat much easier when they hear how tight the bass and drums are. Once the crowd is feeling the groove, they'll be ready to experience the full effect of the melody. It turns their typical evening out for live music into an unforgettable memory. Make sure you have extra signup sheets for the fan mailing-list. You're gonna need them.
Natural high-end response
High frequencies are pushed through Peavey's RX14 compression driver. The 1.4-inch titanium diaphragm produces natural, airy top-end to complement the tight rumble of the bass frequencies. Vocals are crisp and clear, and guitars and keyboards cut through the mix with precision. The RX14 has onboard overload protection to protect the tweeter from harm. This speaker is coupled with a 40 x 60-degree constant-directivity horn to disperse the highs throughout the room. Your audience can spread out across the dance floor, and they'll get the same great sound no matter where they stand. Peavey's 2.8kHz crossover sends each frequency to the most efficient speaker for creamy smoothness across the entire midrange spectrum. No lumps in the response curve, just a nice, musical arc from top to bottom.
High-volume power rating
All of the impressive sound quality can be delivered with authority from any power amplifier or powered-mixer. Rated at 400 Watts RMS with 800-Watt peaks, you can fill any venue with music. PV115's handle a maximum Sound Pressure Level (SPL) of 118dB. The tweeter-horn's vertical orientation lets you get more sound than normal when the enclosures are set on the floor, and an integrated pole-socket is perfect for stand-mounting up high. The trapezoidal cabinet can also be tilted on its side for use as a floor monitor. Two 1/4-inch connections on each cabinet make for easy integration into any PA rig. Run them straight from your power source as mains or monitors, or daisy-chain multiple PV115's to increase the coverage area. At this low price, you can outfit the whole stage.
Rugged, tour-worthy construction
Working bands are constantly setting-up and breaking-down their PA systems. Night after night, city after city, it's an endless cycle of packing and unpacking. Seesawing temperatures and rough treatment will take its toll on all but the hardiest gear. Peavey enclosures are strong and rigid to stand up to the harshest road abuse. Heavy-duty carpet covers the cabinet, protecting the wood from scrapes and dings. A beefy metal grille spans the entire front baffle, shielding both the woofer and the tweeter from damage. It is powder-coated in black to keep a professional appearance, no matter how many times you drag it out of the van. Steel caps protect the corners, and thick steel handles make setup and transport a snap. With all its ruggedness, the PV115 weighs just 53 pounds. No one wants to go looking for a music store fifteen minutes before the gig. You can trust the PV115 to take you through every stop on the tour without a hiccup.
Peavey proudly introduces new additions to its long-running PV Series, including mixers, equalizers, crossovers, loudspeakers and cables. The PV Series has long been the benchmark of performance and value in audio, and the new PV products live up to this legacy.
