No longer available at zZounds
This signature acoustic from Rush's resident guitarist features a solid spruce top with exotic dao back and sides, offering up an organic, resonating tone.

What's special about this item?

Feature: What it does:
Dao back and sides Unique figuring, warm tone with deep bass response
Solid spruce top Punchy, articulate and warm sound
Mahogany neck Great sustain, strength, and warm tone
Rosewood fretboard Open, warm tone and smooth playing feel

Carrying over unique appointments from the PRS Private Stock Alex Lifeson acoustic, the SE features a thinner body depth than PRS's standard Angelus model. A "Birds in Flight" inlay adorns the rosewood fretboard and pairs nicely with the unique back and sides crafted from figured dao wood. Players will find a noticeably warm and resonate tone in the SE Alex Lifeson - even when amplified! An undersaddle pickup with both volume and tone knobs will give you all the control you need from the stage.

"I was very pleased when PRS presented me with my SE Angelus acoustic, a beautiful guitar of stunning quality. It was in response to the challenge of building a guitar that shared the integrity and attention to detail that the Alex Lifeson Private Stock Angelus possesses in a package more broadly accessible. The SE Alex Lifeson Thinline is that model. Carefully selected materials, expert craftsmanship and a smart approach to concept resulted in a guitar that is beautiful to look at and rewarding to play." - Alex Lifeson

I ended up getting it for $500 with black Friday's price match, worth every penny but no more, at full price I'd return it, guitar is stunningly beautiful in every aspect, with the shiniest frets I have ever seen, they are gleaming like stainless steel, and yet fret ends are pretty terrible and needed to be finished off they were sharp as razors edge, also guitar wasn't even attempted at set up and came in with truss rod completely loose, took me two healthy upward turns just to feel it the tightened, saddle however was an appropriate height for most folks but I shaved it down just a bit, so guitar has an exceptional low action now with just a hint of buzz when picked aggressively, the sound of the guitar unplugged is surprisingly full, overall I enjoy the guitar and as I mentioned it is beautiful and well made, finish is flawless and wood is stunning.
