iDJ, the first DJ mixing station for iPod, is a two-channel DJ mixer with two Universal Docks for iPod. You can dock and mix tracks from two different iPod, CD players or turntables connected to iDJ's inputs, or a combination of those sources. You can also mix in a mic and sing, rap, or talk over the music with iDJ's mic channel.

Your hands never have to leave iDJ thanks to large transport controls. You'll be able to connect to the PA or speaker system with ease using iDJ's multiple RCA outputs and cue in headphone with the 1/4 and 1/8 inch headphone jacks.
iDJ has dual plug-and-play USB interfaces for connecting to Mac and PC. You can then use iDJ as a high-tech dock for your iPod - as simple as plugging in with no dirvers needed to make the connection work.

iDJ's mixer has three-band EQ and a gain control on each channel as well as microphone tone and level controls so you can optimize each channel's sound for your room and performance. When you play clubs, you can even place iDJ on a turntable with the spindle receiver in the bottom!

"The way to go for school dances and parties!"

Sound: The sound is great! Very clear, and it mostly sounds just like what you hear from your ipod via the headphones. We have had no complaints about the sound. Feature: The product comes with no accessories, but then again, none are needed. Everything you need to DJ with this unit is actually on the unit. The only thing we added were speakers and a microphone. The only complaint I have with the idj is the beat match feature, but we really don't need it for what we use it for. No one has ever compained that the beats didn't match when switching from one song to another. Ease of Use: This unit is absolutely simple to use. I have a group of 14-15 year olds that are the DJ's (a Girl Scout troop), and they run everything themselves, from getting the right music, to setting up and breaking down. They have never had a problem. Quality: We used this unit for 6 years, without any problems, and as I said, these were young teenagers using it. Just recently, it has started to stop during a song on rare occasion. We love it so much that I just bought a new one to replace it. You cannot beat the price, at $150.00! It is such a bargain, as we make at least that on one dj dance or party. Value: Absolutely! Like I said, for $150.00, it's what we make in one DJ job, so the value is incredible. Other DJ units are way more expensive, so this is the way to go if you're not a professional. Manufacturer Support: We have never had to contact the company, so I can't answer this. The Wow Factor: This is the coolest-looking dj unit ever! People stop and stare at it, and always ask about it. Especially teenagers. They're fascinated by the lights and the fact that it uses ipods. Overall: I just replaced the unit with another one exactly like it. For the price, it's unbeatable. We had it for 6 years, and it just recently began to stop during a song on rare occasion, so we replaced it to be safe. I researched other similar items, but none were as easy to use, or as cheap to purchase.

"2 months in and I'm loving my iDJ"

Sound: I have no complaints with the sound quality from this unit. Obvisouly the quality of the MP3 file being played is the most important factor here. Feature: It is very bare bones, simple crossfader, simple bass/mid/high control and mic level control. For the price range though their aren't going to be a lot of bells and whistles. Ease of Use: Exceptionally easy to use, the biggest thing you can do to help yourself out is to organize your iTunes music and make sure all the names are correct before you start. Quality: I've only been using mine for 2 months now but thus far the quality is great and I have no complaints. I'm rating it an 8 simply because I haven't used it long enough to fairly judge. Value: Compared to what I paid for my previous Stanton CD players and mixer this is an exceptional value. If you are a trivia host, bar DJ, or someone looking for a basic entry level system this is the way to go. Manufacturer Support: Again I'm tossing out an average number here of 8 simply because I've never had to deal with Numark because I've never had any issues. The Wow Factor: It looks visually appealing, the blue backlight draws the eye. I recently DJ'd a car show and awards dinner and had many people come up to me asking about the equipment and commenting on how much they liked the iDJ unit. Overall: If the next few months are as smooth and flawless as the first few have been I'll be extrememly pleased with the iDJ. I'm planning on buying a 2nd one soon to keep in my equipment case as a back up.
