The Nady PEM500 Personal Ear Monitor System offers all of the advantages of wireless in-ear monitoring such as mobility and freedom from feedback. For the first time, a wireless in-ear monitor system combines state-of-the-art advanced frequency-agile synthesized UHF technology, high-end performance, and unprecedented affordability.

Features

- Available on selected frequency bands within the UHF spectrum for interference-free, long-range performance (up to eight systems can be operated simultaneously, depending on location and frequency band)
- System consists of PEM-500T stereo transmitter and one bodypack stereo PEM-R receiver (both offer 16-channel user selectability)
- Any number of additional receivers can be operated with the same transmitter if all are set to the same channel
- Proprietary companding circuitry for wide dynamic range and clear, natural sound
- Operating range: up to 300 ft. typical (depending on site conditions)
- Rugged, foam-padded traveling case provides easy, safe transport and storage

Receiver:

- Portable bodypack receiver features a power switch; switchable built-in volume limiter; Output Level control; stereo/mono select switch; two-color (red/green) 3-way Unit On/Signal/low-battery LED indicators
- Operates up to six hours (depending on volume) on a single 9V alkaline battery
- Each receiver is supplied with a pair of miniature, lightweight (yet powerful) in-ear Koss® stereophones with soft rubber foam mounts in three shapes (conical, cylindrical and hexagonal); designed for fitted comfort and optimum acoustic transfer and isolation
- Rear clip can be rotated 90° for attaching receiver either vertically or horizontally to clothing

Stereo Transmitter:

- Rugged, all-metal half-rack can be rackmounted with single rackmount kit (included), or side-by-side with optional dual rackmount kit
- Microphone Input allows wireless cueing of performers on stage
- Front panel features Input Level control; stereo headphone monitor output jack and volume control; Select button for choosing one of 16 UHF channels, LED channel display; L/R 10-segment Audio Input Level displays
- Back panel provides BNC jack for the detachable antenna; stereo/mono select switch, 1/4 TRS balanced microphone input, XLR jacks for left and right line inputs
- Externally powered by AC/DC power adapter zZounds is an authorized dealer of Nady products.

"It works for me."

Sound: Sound quality is very good with different headphones but there is some background noise. Feature: Frequency agile and stereo what more could there be (except better headphones. Ease of Use: Very easy Quality: Mine works fine but the belt pack feels somewhat plasticy and cheap. Value: Never got so much for so little. Manufacturer Support: They have an 800 number and someone was there when I asked the questions and they had the answer. Overall: It does what it is supposed to do.

Sound: First of all, I've never tried stock earbuds. They are still in factory package. I'm using a good Sennheiser earbuds. There is almost no bass coming from receivers and the bass that comes is very distorted. Even if you manage to find a clear channel, hissing sound and unpleasant harmonics will ruin your experience on stage. The worst part is loud zaps of static that happen from time to time when you move around the stage. They are deafening and you will not like them. Feature: 12 channels. You have to use a little screwdriver (inlcuded) to change the channel. The transmitter prints the active channel on a screen, but on receivers it's hard to see which channel is selected, so you have to twist the selector with the unit on, listening for signal.. getting all kinds of loud static that can damage your hearing. Ease of Use: Except for the whole screwdriver thing, it's extremely easy to use. Too bad it's almost unusable. Quality: Can't complain about quality - nothing that was working broke yet. Value: You get what you pay for. This unit may work for you if you don't move around when you perform - find a good channel and just stay/sit still. But it's a waste of money if you have to move. Manufacturer Support: Haven't tried calling them. The Wow Factor: I'd love to sell my unit and an extra receiver I have and buy a unit that is actually useful.
