Motion Sound PRO3TM Rotating Speaker Horn with Preamp and Microphone Input Reviews

"Great product for the value and functionality."
Feature:
I like everything but I agree on one thing someone else mentioned that it would be nice to have a fast light on the footswitch as I do isolate the leslie in another area to get away from the distracting live horn sound and like to have indication when the thing is running fast.

Quality:
It is made very well. I am in a band and take it wherever I play. I use a voce Micro B and micro B II organ modules. The first one I got crapped out in 3 days but motion sound was very good about sending out a new one. I went through BB Organ in mpls, MN. BB Organ has installed a better made cable for the footswitch as it kept coming undone inside.

Value:
Yes it is but I don't know the value price of it now.

Desirability:
I think it is great to have a product like this that sounds just like a real leslie but compact enough to make it easy to carry around. It is much easier than hauling around a conventional leslie. I have had it since about April of 2005. I am amazed on how well balanced that horn is.

Sound:
I really like the sound on it particularly when hooked to a sound system. I find the high pitched live horn kinda distracting but I understand the nature or the thing.

Ease of Use:
I think it is quite easy and the big thing is sound settings on a mixer board.

Support:
As I mentioned in section above, the company was very prompt when the first unit quit working in 3 days. I brought it to the attention of BB Organ, Mpls, MN and he got in touch with MS and they promptly sent out a new unit.

Overall:
I am figuring quite a few years more yet as long as parts are available if something does go on it. Things don't last forever regardless of how good the quality. Sooner or hopefully later, the drive motor will need replacing as that is a bigger wear item. It gets used alot and with frequent switching to fast and slow speeds. I am hoping this unit keeps right on working trouble free for at least another 4 years or more. I have had my Korg M1 keyboard for 20 years and it has been serviced only twice. That is a very good average. I would love to see this product have that good of track record.

"Killer Rotary Amp for Organ Sound"
Feature:
I only wish the speed pedal had a light showing whether the high-speed is on or off.

Desirability:
It beats the hell out of everything else except maybe a genuine Leslie.

Sound:
The main difficulty using this unit is balancing the high and low frequency sounds. All of the highs come from the Pro-3T unit directly. The lows are sent to another amplifier. Although you can amplify the lows as much as you like for the size of room in which you are performing, the highs have limited beef. The best way around this is to install a pair of small microphones inside the Pro-3T and send the output to a separate amplifier. The company has suggestions for doing this. I had to do this to get enough highs for nightclub playing.

Support:
The tech support is absolutely superb.

Overall:
I can't imagine using anything else for organ sounds. I use it with a Voce V5 organ module. The combination is killer.
