The M1 is a passive sound-hole magnetic pickup that features outstanding body sensitivity with great warmth and presence. Its dual-coil design employs L.R. Baggs' exclusive TriAxial Dynamic Technology to produce clear, rich tones that are resistant to feedback, noise and hum, with string and body sound all in one.

The M1 redefines what is possible from a sound-hole pickup and eliminates the trade off between ease and performance. It's never been easier to get superior live sound!

From your first strum you'll know that the M1 is pure magic. What makes it so different? The secret is the breakthrough patent-pending TriAxial Dynamic Technology developed by Gary Garrett and Lloyd Baggs. This new technology allows the pickup to respond to the guitar's string and body vibrations.

The M1 is a humbucking pickup -- with a twist. In a common stacked humbucker, the second, lower coil cancels hum, but doesn't contribute anything positive to the sound. In fact, it can muddy the sound of the main coil. LR Baggs unlock the second coil. This allows it to make a positive sonic contribution while maintaining the pure open sound of a single coil -- but without the hum.

In the M1, the hum-canceling coil is suspended under the main coil by a tuned support that allows it to move in three dimensions. The primary coil moves with the guitar top and creates a body signal in the suspended secondary coil. This brings the M1 to life, with string and body sound all in one. It's like having a dual pickup system in your sound-hole. And it's all passive!

They've carefully tuned the support to control motion in all three dimensions. This allows to selectively add the presence and realism from the body signal while suppressing runaway feedback. zZounds is an authorized dealer of LR Baggs products.

Sound: You Buy A Pickup For The Sound. This Pickup Sounds Amazing, Not Only On Larger Amps (100+Watts) But On My Fender 25R 25Watt As Well. It Handles Distortion, Eq, Reverb, And Effects Without A Problem. The Polepieces Can Be Adjusted For Higher Output, Too. Quality: When I First Took The Pickup Out Of The Box, I Noticed It Was Really Deep And Heavy, But Also Really Solid And Sturdy. Its Solid Design Will Probably Last Longer Than Your Guitar. Value: Although More Expensive Than Some Other Pickups, The Quality Is Un-Paralleled, So The Pickup Is Truly Worth The Money. It Can Easily Be Compared In Sound Quality And Design To Pickups Costing Double Its Price. Overall: Its Just A Really Good Pickup. Its Easily Installed, Fairly Priced, And Sounds Awesome. Definitely A Must Buy For Your Acoustic If Your Planning On Making It Loud.

Sound: Matched with the Baggs Para DI it's very good. If you must plug in, this is a good solution. Feature: I don't like batteries, blenders, volume knobs, etc. So, the ease of use of this pickup are excellent for me. The adjustable poles are nice, I did do a bit of that. The included cables are high quality and work well. Ease of Use: About as straightforward is it could possibly be. Don't you always appreciate a smart design? Yeah, me too. So you'll appreciate the M1. Quality: Looks excellent. Feels excellent. Sounds fantastic. Construction seems to be a very high quality. Value: Sometimes you regret a purchase or think twice about the money spent. I never felt that way about the M1. It's truly an excellent value. Manufacturer Support: Never had to use. The Wow Factor: Style and sizzle is subjective, but, to me, it has tremendous appeal. When I talk to players, they all seem to know about it and I've had more than one ask to borrow it. Nah... don't think so. Overall: I've had it for several years and still love it. It's been through a lot and still looks and performs like brand new.

Style of Music: A bit of everything... mostly folk, rock, alternative, country...
