The Far Outlet 300S is a True Sine Wave Inverter, Battery, and High Speed Charger, combined into a portable, rugged 1/8 in. thick aluminum case. Other unique features that set the Far Outlet apart from the rest include: dual microprocessors, Flexible 12 Volt I/O Port, Ramping Output Voltage, Automatic Restart, Brownout/Transient Protection, with a battery approved by common carriers. The Far Outlet model 300S is a portable source of sinusoidal 115 volt, 60Hz household current. About the size of a lunchbox and lightweight enough to carry in one hand, the FO 300S is perfect for powering sensitive audio and video equipment without the need for special filtering or processing instruments. Used as an automatic high-speed charger, multiple 12 volt batteries can be charged simultaneously.

The Far Outlet can also be used as an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) for equipment with an average usage under 60 watts. The Far Outlet provides up to 250 watts continuous and 400 watts peak power and will operate for hours between charges (accomplished by plugging the Far Outlet into a wall socket or into a vehicle's cigar lighter).

Unlike a conventional inverter, it does not introduce the unwanted switching transients associated with inductive loads, which can introduce distortion into sensitive audio and video devices.
