The Breedlove Atlas Solo C350/CMe is an excellent acoustic-electric concert guitar for live solo performance. It belongs to Breedlove's acclaimed Atlas Series of guitars, which were released to bring the incredible custom quality that Breedlove is known for into a larger-run production. This ensures that Breedlove can continue to produce instruments at the highest level of quality while bringing the price down substantially. Now musicians searching for a world-class acoustic-electric designed by artisan luthiers can take home an instrument that will astonish both player and audience with a great sound and awesome versatility.

Great in the Living Room, But Ready for the Stage

The Concert-type body has a wide cutaway, allowing easy access to the 20th fret. The neck is made from nato mahogany and has a 25.5-inch scale, measuring 1.6875 inches at the ToneStone nut. The solid wood top is made from gorgeous western red cedar. The fingerboard is made from East Indian rosewood, and features inlays at the 3rd, 5th, 7th, 12th, 14th, 16th, and 18th frets. The sapele mahogany sides are cut extra-deep to ensure a voice that is equally powerful and clear both in unplugged or amplified situations. Chrome Grover-Mini tuners look great on the elegantly-designed headstock and promise to keep your guitar in tune.

Killer Electronics from LR Baggs

Once you plug it in, any acoustic-electric is only as good as the pickup inside. Fortunately, the Atlas Solo C350/CMe comes with the LR-T CV read more Tuner Preamp that was custom-designed for Breedlove in collaboration with L.R. Baggs. It features a 3-band EQ to help get your sound right for the amp you're using and the space where you're playing. There are also controls for Presence and Phase. Plus, a stealthy built-in chromatic tuner will keep your audience convinced you've got perfect pitch. And when you forget to put a fresh battery in before a performance, the cleverly-designed internal power source makes putting in a new one fast and easy.

A Totally New Way to Hear Yourself

The C350/CMe also features Breedlove's distinctive Monitor Side Soundhole. This allows guitarists to listen to their own playing in a totally new way. Essentially, by projecting sound out of the side as well as the front, you're able to experience more subtleties in the sound of the instrument. It has been described by some as offering "a greater sense of detail" for the musician holding the guitar. You'll definitely notice the difference when you bring this great and generously-priced guitar into your life.

Breedlove Atlas Series Solo C350 CME

Breedlove Atlas Solo Series instruments feature the quality craftsmanship and tone you have come to expect from Breedlove. Before the Atlas Series, Breedlove was a custom shop guitar manufacturer only. In 2003 the Atlas line was launched with the intention of incorporating high-end custom features into a production line. The Atlas line is made overseas and goes through the setup and quality control process at the Breedlove Custom shop located in Bend, Oregon.

The Breedlove Atlas Series comes in four categories: Stage, Studio, Solo and Retro lines. Each category has a specific sound and application.

The voiced instruments feature the LR Bagg's Stage Pro Element pickup with chromatic tuner. They worked with Lloyd Baggs for over 5 years developing this pickup to be the best performing on-board pickup of its kind. Stylish L.R. Baggs Stage Pro controls include volume, EQ, notch, phase and fast battery access highly sought after by today's touring musicians. Lloyd Baggs explains, "The sound and combined performance features were previously unattainable, until now."

Each Atlas Series name (Stage, Studio, Solo, and Retro) implies the purpose of each design.

The Atlas Series includes six-string Concerts, Dreadnoughts and Jumbos, twelve-string Concerts and Jumbos and four and five-string acoustic basses. Breedlove also offer a nylon-string Atlas acoustic guitar in a concert size.

This is my first Breed love guitar and definitely won't be my last. I'm going to compare this to my Taylor 214ce, as they are similarly priced. This is a much better guitar in my opinion.
Sound
98/100 on sound. This guitar sounds better than any guitar I've owned or played under $1500. There is a great balance in highs, mids, and lows and does not sound boomy like a lot of guitars in this price range. I would describe it as warm and full. This did come with an extra nut (awesome), the setup was good, but I be the option if shaving the extra one if I want to try for better action
Features
There is a sound hole on the side of the guitar that is meant for playing to yourself, and I love this feature... It points the sound of the guitar at you instead of away from you.
Ease of Use
Very playable, the neck has a smooth and easy feel to it. I find this guitar very easy to play.
Quality
The product was flawless. I always closely inspect everything when I get a new guitar. There are no defects in paint or stain or inlaying.
Value
I'm surprised by the value of this guitar... With case and a few small extras included. I would expect this to be in the 1200-1500 range.

The Wow Factor
The guitar looks good but not great to me, the workmanship is flawless, but I do personally prefer the glossy bright look. This is the only area that I like the Taylor 214ce more.
