The guitar came perfectly set up with medium action, I mean there is no work to be done th eneck is perfectly straight and the action is perfect, medium/low height. Everything is fine except the back of the neck is less than stellar as far as cosmetics but the frets are fine. The guitar sounds bright but not thin, its brand new and needs time for the top to break in. The body fit and finish is very good, the nut is seated fine, its just the way the different pieces of wood meet at the back of the neck is less than optimal as far as matching the grain. The back of the neck is a matte finish, the rest of the guitar is gloss. The hard case is deluxe and very nice. Comes with an extra bridge saddle and two shims to raise the action height if desired. I find the set up absolutely perfect.
