Mount Kirk Hammett's pickguard on your guitar! This pre-wired pickguard features an EMG-81, a pair of EMG-S single-coils, and black tone and volume knobs.

Kirk Hammett first visited EMG back in the early 80's when Metallica was a local group on the rise. The KH20 system joins the EMG-81 with a pair of EMG-S single-coil pickups. These pickups are all built around ceramic magnets for the tightest, most controlled sound. They're mated with a five-position switch and master volume and tone controls. The KH20 comes pre-assembled on a custom Pearl White pickguard with contrasting black knobs.

I took a budget Squier guitar and replaced everything except for the pickups. I looked through different pickguards but always kept coming back to this one. Finally pulled the trigger on it and I am so glad I did. I knew these were going to be good but I didn't know that it would be a difference of night and day. Distortion I knew would be great, but I overlooked how clean the guitar plays now. The Squier sounds like its chiming when played. The pickups are worth more than what they are sold for.
