I am a drummer with 25 years of experience. Living in an apartment, the Yamaha FGDP-50 is perfect when I want to explore fingerdrumming while practicing real rudiments and techniques I would use on a real kit with sticks.There is a difference between this instrument and playing with sticks, but this is equally rewarding. The samples are perfect with the DTX sounds.The outputs are a hang up for some but I use a mixer to plug into bigger speakers. I will say though this has enough volume on the onboard speaker to accompany in a jam session with acoustic instruments. I love it.
