This thing is awesome. It's tiny, small enough to fit on my pedalboard. It's loud. I plugged it into my 2x12 cab and it screamed especially with a dirt pedal. I haven't gotten a chance to try it with a 4 ohm speaker load so I haven't had it at full volume but even at 8 ohm 25w it's really loud. I'm sure it could keep up with a drummer at 50w but at 25w some drummers might drown you out. The one thing that kind of bugs me is the use of a cheap plastic switch for the power switch. The other switches will likely not get used as much as the power switch so I'm not as concerned about them. I fear that the switch will inevitably go bad at some point with lots of use. Other than that I'm extremely satisfied with this amp. I wouldn't hesitate to use it during jam sessions / practice.

First, foremost, I will say that this little amp head sounds great! If your wondering about that tube sound, like I was, the answer is yes. Yes it most certainly has tube sound. The highs do not sound compressed, like solid state amps do. It sounds tube. Now that I've covered that, let's move on to the unbiased part of the review. The treble and bass knobs work great, definitely have a full range of adjustability. Folks say this little thing is loud. Well, it is. But not without a trade off. Once you put the volume level past halfway, it gets noisy. Irritatingly noisy. I use this, at half volume with a preamp/booster. It works great with pedals. It's a minus for the noisy operation past half volume. It is 50 watts, maximum at 4 ohms. That is solid state watts. I can tell you , that this DOES NOT, have the "ooomph" of a tube head. I have low watt tube heads, 1/5/7 watt, and this does NOT compare to those in the power/oomph department. Sound quality, yes it does. Works great with pedals, has a great small platform, has great tube sound... DOES NOT have that depth/punch/ooomph of a real tube head. Does it still get high marks, and a good recommendation? Absolutely. Buy it, try it, you'll see what I mean. It's an emergency back up at best, and a bedroom, small coffee shop type gig amp. It's got good features, with the attenuator, eq switch, eco mode(meh), and the cool power window on the front. Really a neat amp.

I got this to push a Line 6 Helix and a Randall 2x12. This tiny amp gets loud enough to suit my needs and sounds very good. It's very simple to use and makes my setup very simple.
