VocoPro DVD- Duet Karaoke Customer Review

If something happened to this unit, I would try to replace it and I would like to have another for home use. As it is I have to bring it in and out of the car every week, sometimes more. This serves the purpose for when I go to Retirement Centers...When I sing elsewhere I have to rely on the equipment being used where I go and them to run the equipment...I am not a muti task person but truly would like to learn about what is out there for for local singers.
Sound
This unit is perfect - an all in one - for the Retirement Center I go to. We are in the Recreation room which is large, most people are old and hard of hearing and it is fun for me to get in a little touch of pro sound with the features and Mic's...
Features
Yes I had a unit where I could lower the key or raise it and there was a speed control with it...It was great!
Ease of Use
So great still getting familiar with it.
Quality
This is my third Karaoke. They are fragile and need to be handled with much care, especially the play buttons...Last one was a "Singing Machine", I had it for 7 years...
Value
No...I ngot this at a discount price...Rather than pay the regular price it is better to invest in stronger sound equipment.
Manufacturer Support
The main problem is when the warranty runs out the cost to fix them is too expensive...is the a service plan available?
The Wow Factor
It is attractive, appealing. practical and professional.

"Worst purchase ever"

Overall: 0.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I thought I would get about 10 years for my investment.
Features
TH case and the 2 mics I got with the system are of good quality. The system itself is of poor quality.
Quality
I have owned my Vocopro DVD-Diet for about a year and half. In that time I have only used it 3 times. The CD+G reader died with only about 6 hours use. It will cost almost as much to fix it as it did to but it new. I am not sure I want to spend that much repairing something that broke so quickly. I bought it because I was told it was the best, and it had the features I was looking for. It came with a case to store it in when it was not being used. I thought that was a good thing, and it would help the machine last for many years. I was wrong. It kept the the outside looking new, but it did nothing for the poor quality components on the inside.
Manufacturer Support
They will fix the machine but the price is prohibitive.
