I probably will always use the sessions board. I would definitely supplement with the Orchestra 2 board, (When I get the money) because I love the sound of full orchestra and solo instruments. I have not seen any sound module to equal it in it's class. Although the 128 voice boards and instruments have a more skeletal sound, the save features for these instruments impede the imaginative process and the time factor is very important when recording new music. If it was stolen or lost I would try my best to save my money to replace it.I wish the new SRX boards worked with the Roland XP-80, mainly because it contains more diverse sounds on each board. Before I purchased Rolands XP-80 (which holds my session module) I played and recorded with many bands and spent major bucks, but the sounds in the box idea (workstation) make the missed rehearsal and recording session a thing of the past.

Value
It's worth every penny and more for the countless hours and years I have been recording beautiful music. (I get this compliment from listeners) Due to the economy I wish it were cheaper. Especially since I have paid my dues for countless years performing for free and watching others get paid for my performances. I can't however deny what a fantastic product Roland produces. Only wish they could hear some of my songs and works.
Manufacturer Support
Extremely hard to reach from their website (Roland). Actually almost impossible! Just want to thank them sometimes.
The Wow Factor
The magic behind the sessions board is unexplainable almost mezmorising. I could never emass enough money to pay for the instruments I make music with, with this module.

Sound
If you are on a budget and can only get one expansion board for your synth - this is the one. The sounds are first rate - strings, choir, nylon guitar, class synth emulations, all the bases get covered by this board. I was a little disappointed with the Roland sound of my XP-60 until I installed this board. It makes a HUGE difference. Other expansion boards are more specialized. This one is general - it added very good sounds that cover a wide range of music.
Features
Its an expansion board - its kind of hard to talk about features. Its very easy to install and the patches load automatically without a floppy disk load (unlike the Triton).
Value
Worth every penny.
Manufacturer Support
I hear Roland support is the biggest joke in the music industry. I have never had to call them, so I cannot verify this from personal experience.
The Wow Factor
You should want this card - it has the best pianos of any SR-JV card and tons of other first-rate sounds.
