"The Peavey Valveking's equal"

I was looking for a backup to my Valveking head when we play out, (I don't like taking my XXX out to smoke filled clubs), but I think the Valveking has been demoted to backup. The VK is a great sounding head too, it just has a different type of distortion to it. The VK has harsher distortion which is good and bad.
Sound
I really can't figure out why this didn't catch on like the Peavey VK100 head, which I also own. This amp flat out wails. Really smooth distortion, great for 80's rock/metal. Maybe not over the top distortion, but great amp. Different speakers obviously affect the sound. I have a cab with Eminence GB's in it and it's a great match.
Features
Great pedal, the switchable gain channels are OK. The red channel to me is just ok, and to be honest I haven't played too much with the clean, but don't tell me anyone is buying a Randall to play clean, Randall owners are true metalheads. Footswitchable reverb is nice.
Ease of Use
Unlike a Peavey XXX, which I also have that has active eq's, this is easy to get a consistent good sound. Turn the dials and there it is. Manual sucks.
Quality
Made in China so who knows. Bought mine used, and was DOA, but a few weeks in the shop, and it's the amp I play most now.
Value
At $530, it may be steep for a chinese built 50W amp, bought it sounds killer. If you see one used, you should check it out, but for some reason they are really hard to find, Randall must not have mass produced tons of these.
Manufacturer Support
If you can get a tech on the phone, they are fairly helpful, but don't expect replies from an email.
The Wow Factor
It's fairly light weight which is a bonus.

"Buy it when it is available!"

I'll like it til it quits.
Sound
I haven't even changed out the tubes for the Svetlana's I bought for it! It sounds better than my Marshall DSL! With the gain cranked all the way it sounds like the DSL, turn it back and it smooths out to a nice even overdiven sound. Handles chords like a tube amp should, doesn't spike your ears when you go from a major to a minor. C'mon at this price, it's gonna change the landscape!
Features
Comes with a huge metal footswitch. It can do any kind of music you want. 50 watt, EL34, channel switching , reverb, etc., what more do you need?
Quality
Vinyl is perfect, everything else fits OK. It's not too big and heavy.
Value
Made in China, so it will kill any job there is left in the USA, fer sure! It prolly cost less than 50 bucks to make in China.
Manufacturer Support
Yeah, that will be the question, right?
The Wow Factor
It's so good it will put the last remaining American/British company out of business!

Randall RH50T Tube Head Customer Review

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
sounds amazing. you can get any sounds you want with it. vintage blues to heavy metal. i've been searching for a way to achieve the "Iron Maiden guitar tone" for about 5 years and i've finally found my holy grail. i'll love it forever!
Features
footswitch covers everything you'll need to control it and use it to it's full extent
Quality
built very well and can stand some abuse (good for tube amp standards)
Value
amazing value for a head that sounds better then ones 3 times as expensive. i never thought i'd say this, but it's better than a marshall
Manufacturer Support
haven't had any problems at all with it
