The Quilter Tone Block, Should have called it the BEEF Block, because this Amp has more Beef than any Amp I have. I have had them all look and still do, for that just right Mix of Tone, and Output. What I really like, is that I can have it on, set my Guitar Down, and there is no Sound, just silence NO Hum, no static, nothing, but I can hit a Note and get some very nice Feedback response when I want it, just like a Tube Amp only better. I have mine hooked to a Mesa Thiele, 1 X 12 EV Closed Back. I also Run a Mesa 5 Band EQ, along with my Trusty Hall of Fame reverb. I have a Hole suite of Pedals on my Board, and this Amp takes them real well, not only real well, but takes them to the next Level. Supper Happy with my New Rig, will be Showing off so to speak at the next Gig this weekend.

This is the most versatile amp I've ever owned. I play it clean when I use an acoustic guitar (it makes a great acoustic amp). It's perfect to use with your favorite effect pedals It will sound like anything your put into it It has plenty of power for any situation yet it still sounds great at low volumes. They named it right It's a definite tone machine. I'm very pleased with this amp

Just what i was looking for! I needed an amp head to power my Fender SuperSonic cabs. I wanted something that was going to be comfortable with in all settings, from bedroom levels, to outdoor festivals. After reading reviews for a while, i decided to buy this amp. I was glad i did. I love the simplicity and versatility of this amp. I can plug different cabs, overdrive pedals, and guitars and this amp makes them all sound awesome! My Vintage Twin Reverb has been staying home a lot more since i got this bad boy. I could say more, but in the end, you gotta hear this amp for yourself. Don't wait as long as i did, go get one!

ok I got my Quilter Toneblack today and hooked this rig up to a 12 inch black widow. My Fellow guitarists, steelists, fiddle-ists, you need this!. Come hear mine and you will know why. The direct signal gets it's sound from the speaker. I then got the idea to stereo it with my Boogie and my OH my what a wall of sound. it has the same tone at 1 watt as it does at 200 watts with no breakup. and it sounds like a tube amp! I am so happy!

I bought this amp to power my pedalboard for both my A rig (4x12 Marshall 1960), and B rig (2 1x10 Celestion guitar floor monitors). It's perfect for both applications. It truly brings the Marshall cab to life. I've used it in small clubs, (B rig) as well as large clubs and a giant amphitheater (A rig) and it's versatility is amazing. Great product for a working guitarist who needs reliable power and tone, and SO portable.

I was a little bit skeptical, but the Tone Block 200 is all it is cracked up to be! So simple but so good. I was looking for versatile, got it , looking for portable, got it, looking for power, got it, looking for tone, got it. I currently use a modeling effects board setup so I really needed high front end /back end headroom and the Tone block performs.

"Tone Block For Steel Guitar"

I've been using Quilter's Tone Block 200 for about 8 months now for my pedal steel guitar. I plug a 15" Eminence 4 ohm speaker in cabinet, and with a Behringer 7 band EQ, a Boss RV 6, Boss DD3, Boss Metal Zone, and a Boss RT-20, it gives me plenty of sound, in fact, the best sound I've ever had in my nearly 47 years of playing. For me, this is an "out of the park" homerun!

This is fantastic. It's a great little head. The tone shaping is super easy to use to get the different amp like voices...It's basically a single knob eq that adjust voicings. It can be used at a line level or turned up to add gain. It takes pedals like a champ. It's super light and portable. Really loud when you want it to be.

I play in local bands. Never any extensive tours.

I use it for a power amp on my Eleven Rack. It is capable of so much more though. Absolutely LOUD. I'll buy an Aviator just for a "back up" Amp on live gigs.

Bought this new and it was great at rehearsals, however it simply cut out twice on live gigs. The first time it happened we unplugged it and it functioned again in a minute or two, so we attributed it to some sort of glitch or thought that I may have not connected the locking mechanism on the power cord, that said it happened again last night.Never had this experience in 40 years with a brand new piece of transistor equipment.Lost my confidence in this unit.
