I grew up playing an OG Peavey 5150. I spent nearly 20 years with it until I sold it during a move. I've tried to recapture feeling of playing that head with various other amps EVH 5150s, Invective, 6505+, Orange Dual Dark 50, Marhall JVM 410 and none of them were right. This is absolutely dead on the sound of my OG 5150. I can feel it in my chest while I play. The resonance and presence controls are killer. The levels of gain are nuts. The clean channel is better than it ever has been and the tone from both channels is so warm. Its allowed me to summon up old songs I wrote on this monster and try out ideas I've been playing with with for decades. And honestly its a great deal.

Absolutely the best amp I’ve ever owned. The sheer raw power of this amp is amazing. It’s everything I’ve ever wanted from a high gain amp. Aside from the sheer brutality I really enjoy that each channel has its on EQ and presence/resonance controls. I almost want to buy another one and just keep it in the box until this one goes south ( hopefully many years from now )
